what is the address of CPC missisauga where we have to send parents application ? could we drop in person ??

what are the possibilities to drop in application so it does not get delayed.

CIC only accepts apps from couriers. You cannot drop it off yourself.

and if application has to be on exactly 1st jan ? what if it reaches on dec 31 ? holiday season those days so no idea if shipping could be delayed

No - he can't as of now. He is too old. However the newly elected Liberal government has said they will raise the dependent age to 22. If that happens, he can be included. Whether that will happen and when is anyone's guess.

If the application arrives on December 31st, then it will have arrived too early and the application will be returned to you unprocessed. The first business day of January is January 4th. Your application can arrive on January 4th at the earliest.

And another question is i am inviting my parents and my brother and sister are married so my understanding it as they are not coming to Canada so i will not include them in form as dependants and also don't need to fill declaration form for them as dependants.

If it going to be implemented this jan 2016 is too soon to change in time. Maybe jan 2017. The change from 22 to 19 was suppose to take effect for reopening pgp despite having a lot of lead time to implement the change. It didnt get changed until following year.

Hi Everyone,

I have few questions in regards to application for my parents for sponsorship and your help will be appreciated :

1).There is a form called dependant declaration form, do it need to be filled by my siblings who are married and i assume they are not dependant as well so will not list them in the main application form by my dad and only dependant of him will be my mum ?

2).For the fee form it says A 75 dollar fee for sponsor and then principal applicant and then spouse so for sponsor it is me , principal app will be my dad and spouse will be my mom ?

3).Regarding courier address of application what is the exact address as there are 2 addresses given on CIC site and which courier service will be better as that will be new year time.I guess we can courier on 31st so it is delivered on time ?

you do not have to wait until the first application finalizes. In the financial form you have a way to specify that there is an ongoing application that is still not in effect.

Anybody knows whether the Maternity leave EI and Parent leave EI go into the line 150 (total income) when we do tax return?
Our first baby is coming by the end of this year and I want to plan my leave for next year properly to make sure I still have enough income to sponsor my parents.

I do believe that EI does count toward total income line 150. However EI will only cover approx 55% of your income. So be prepared for 45% reduction in income total. Will it be enough? Only you would know.

My husband are planing to sponsor his parents in 2016. he don't have enough income yet, but after adding my income we can reach to minimum income slab. i am new in Canada and having part time job, i don't have any tax return file till date. (landed on 4th feb 2015).My question is still we are eligible to sponsor parents in 2016 or we have to wait for next three years?
