Hi everyone, some updates here on my side, hoping some light could be shed:

Here's the latest timeline:

July 7, 2014 - Appendix A, Intent - Additional Documents requested by Manila
--sent by EMS about 5 days later---
July 28, 2014 - ECAS changed to "IN PROCESS"
August 8, 2014 - ECAS changed to "DECISION MADE"

I'm assuming this is a good thing? If so, when / how (delivery guy / package / envelope in the mail?) will we receive our visa for my wife??

Anyways, I'm hoping to share some great news soon! (I hope, knock on wood, fingers crossed!)

Thank you,

Marticus

Congrats Marticus!

We are on almost identical timelines. I was just about to post and ask how long it takes to receive the package once ECAS has been changed to "DECISION MADE"

Congrats. You should be getting a DHL package in the mail within 2 weeks probably. It's pretty fast from the time decision made to getting the COPR.

Talked to my MP rep and signed some forms. He said that he would get back to me with the info in 2 or 3 business days.

I have been in communications with my MP's assistant through email messages.

I am curious what forms you signed and what they pertain to.

Me too. The whole thing was done over the phone in our case.

Hey folks, just a clarification here:

ECAS says exactly this:

A decision has been made on your application. The office will contact you concerning this decision.

When they are talking about "contacting," shall I assume they mean a DHL package arriving with a COPR to our house?

Thank you,

Marticus

In all likelihood that means your application has been approved and the DHL guy will be knocking on your door soon with COPR.

One form was to allow the CIC to release your personal information to your MP.

the other, can't quite remember to be honest, but it was similar.

I will look when I get home for the exact form names.

Just got this back from my mp's office:

Thank you for contacting the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, Member of Parliament for XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX, regarding your Spousal Sponsorship application.

Citizenship and Immigration Canada acknowledged receiving the letter clarifying your residency in Canada. The letter was forwarded to Manila for the immigration officer's review. This type of application typically takes 14 months from receipt for processing. The Manila office received the application XXXXXXX, 2013, so a decision should be made by the beginning of September.

Again, thank you for contacting the XXXXXXXXXXXXXXX constituency office. Please do not hesitate contacting me with further questions or concerns.

Come to think about it, the only thing really strange now is that they haven't asked for my wife to do a 're-med' will she get away with out having to do a new one?

The form names are:

"Authority to release personal information to a designated individual"

and

"Authorization for Parliamentarians"
