Get in contact with your MP.
I am afraid.... you think it is not normal not to hear from the visa office? I thought they are in the process of doing the checks and we need to wait maybe another month or two before they are completed. What is the advantage to contact the MP? I mean he will tell me one of the 2 things: my husband is approved for visa or denied for visa. One way or the other we will be notified by the visa office. And I also thought that this kind of action must be done only when it is past the normal processing time. The normal processing time in Rabat is 10 months (or 9?) and it has been only 6 months and 2 weeks since our application was received... Shouldn't we do something only when it is past 10 months?

Habibti, did the GCMS notes you ordered arrive? That should tell you about their impression of how he did at the interview, etc.

No, I did not order them and yesterday my husband told me it is not necessary as the interview is done and they are doing the checks. We just have to wait for an answer. As the previous member said, I could contact my MP. She told me it is quicker than ordering the notes, they can have access to the information within 48 hours. And my husband told me his interview went very very well... the officer seemed pleased and convinced about his answers (according to what he said).

Haabibtie,
I think you should wait a little bit more. I had the same situation with my husband and he was very confident that the interview went very well. i had to wait from end of April till September to get the re medicals and 15 days later he got his ppr and now we are waiting for the visa to be stamped. We also have an age difference but still we got approved. I agree with you that no news are good news since in Tunisia they also told another guy at the interview that if he gets an answer before 2 months it is negative and between 2 and 4 months is positive. I know that Morocco is a bit fater than Tunisia. So I believe you wait a bit longer. Usually you get refused in 2 weeks because if they are sure they don t believe they don t need to wait. They get the file out of their desks.

They were pretty clear about the timeline - that it will take between 2-4 months...so I'm not sure the benefit of contacting your MP after only a month...but rjessome is pretty knowledgable so she may have a good reason to suggest it....also I thought that MP's don't generally step in unless you have passed the standard waiting times, which you have said you are still within.

You are doing great! Keep being patient and inchallah it will all wrap up in a timely manner!!

well, anyway here is how to show "deep freez" icon cos i think he must know how cos i'm sure he will need it in the future lol

he can use : Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F6 (pressure on all in same time) and then the icon will be showen and then he can disactivate "deep freez" from his computer :)
Thank you for your help again, but here is what my husband wrote me:

Sorry, I have already tried both of these solutions but in vain :( for deepfreeze I found the slution Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F6 on a forum on internet and also I tried " No, I will restart the computer later" at the same time when I installed « Easy Hide IP » and when I wanted to watch the video it didn't work.

Thank you Patopato and Lynn... your messages reassure me. I saw on his Twitter page that my MP is VERY busy for the next days touring cities in Canada, but I sent an email just in case. I believe there is nothing that can be done, the dices are thrown. It is when it will be past the normal 10 months waiting time I will take action. I guess they have to wait for the results of the checks before taking a decision. Anyway I don't want to push things now as we don't have the money for him to travel to Canada... maybe December or January at the latest. But I would like him to land here during the time I will be on vacation (from December 17 to January 2). Then, we could also celebrate our first wedding anniversary together on December 24 :)

Hi,

Just to mention that it took 2 months after the interview for my husband to get the call to pick up his visa. That was 3 years ago, but having followed this forum and others for 4 years now I have to mention that almost all the refusals were sent in the 2 weeks or so following the interview. So

Good luck with everything

Did it say medical received, decision made. Or just decision made. All those that had medical received written first received their visa. You would be the first that I heard of that was refused with medical received written.
To hoping75.... Just to let you know the visa office called my husband on June 27 to ask him questions about his past studies and work and to pay for the permanent residence fees. During the time I was visiting my husband this summer (in July), there was an update on ecas: "medical received". According to what you said, it means chances are we are already approved!

Salam everybody :)

i have some questions wish get helpful answers :)

as you know when you marry you do get two of contracts of marriage, the husband save one and the wife take one with her to Canada. i did give to my wife one she is taking it with her to Canada and the other one i left it with me i did translated it to english and got notarised at different places as all we know.

my questions are :

1- do i need to take them to Canadian embassy in rabat for stamp or register the marriage or something like that before me sending them to my wife to Canada ?

2- when the interview time comes the embassy do ask the husband to bring contract of marriage with him, i want to know if i would take just a copy of the contract of marriage or wht exactlly, cos i would have no original contarct of marriage at that time cos all of them will be already sent to my wife.

thank you guys for the help :)

good luck to everyone

Salam 3alykoum...

1. I am not 100%... I will ask my husband tonight for you. But I beleive he took it to the Canadian Embassy to register it.

2. It would have been better for you to keep both copies and send one to your wife... but it is done already. I sent the stamped copy back to my husband after submitting the application to Mississauga so that he has it. He is planning on taking it with him with any other proof available so that if they ask for it he will have it handy... if they don't ask .. well at least he will be prepared. I would suggest you do the same. Better to have more than enough than not :) ..

Best wishes

hi you do not have to stamp anything at embassy your wife only need to take the original translated one not original Arabic one because the original arabic one you should keep because at embassy they would ask you for arabic copy contract marriage stamped from mo9ata3a its place where you get papers stamped this is what embassy will ask for interview plus marriage pictures, letters , proof of relationships with your wife so you should prepare for it now wish you good luck my friend by the way where are you from ?
