I see. If her Mom sponsoring her as dependent under LCP what yang01 can do is stay dependent to her Mom, benifits for LCP no LICO to bring your family after the program. I was a former live in caregiver back 2006 to a candian couple and single that time but I knew if I have family I can bring them after the program. If mother sponsor dependent childrens after pr it means mother need to show proof that she can support her dependents that she is sponsoring.

In my view they need to go to medical and inform examiner that she was pregnant, after giving birth use her last name for the baby and dont get married. I hope yang01 your family willl support you and give you good advice during your pregnancy and after birth.

Hi all,

My mother is the principal applicant in a caregiver program. I think she is not yet a permanent resident. She sponsored my father and us. She also given a form to have a medical exam in Canada. May I know what LICO and LCP means? Our application was forwarded to Hongkong. She told me that I have to be enrolled because I have to continue my education. Im not married and engaged in a common law relationship.

How old were you at the time the PR application was first submitted?

If you were 16 or 17 like you mentioned, then there is no need at all to be in school. You would be a type A dependent based on age only, so you just couldn't get married or enter into a common-law relationship before getting PR visa and landing.

But you also say you're now 23, so the application has been processing for 6 or 7 years? That doesn't seem right so make sure you have your ages right.

Hi sorry it was filed last 2009 and I was 18 that time turning 19. It was processed 2010 and sent back twice due to some additional information needed by CIC.

Hi yang01,

LCP live in caregiver program and LICO low income cut off.

I noticed that too it can't be 6-7 years to bring your family abroad after the live in caregiver program. At that time like same as my time it took me only 5 months to be open permit and 10 months to be immigrant after 2 yrs of full time employment as live in caregiver.

I went to st Luke's website before, they can't do medical while on menstruation and come back after menstruation, it doesn't say you can't take xray if you are pregnant. I look to Google and yahoo that chest xray will only do very minimal effect to fetus. Take medical asap you might get all test done and be here in Canada before you give birth. If in case you gave birth and still in the Philippines then your Mom will inform your visa office.

If you were under the age of 22 when the application was received by CIC, then you are a Type A dependent: The dependent is under the age of 22 and is single (not married and not in a common-law relationship).

It doesn't matter if you are in school or not, you will still be Type A dependent based solely on your age at time of application submission. You just can't get married or become common-law. Being enrolled in school is only for Type B dependents, so that doesn't apply to you at all.

She should ensure she will have provincial health coverage first, before deciding to have baby in Canada. Many provinces require 3 months wait. If she delivers baby with no healthcare and there are any complications, a hospital bill in the $5 - $10,000 range may be charged and need to pay out-of-pocket.

Hi,

That's what our timeline says. I dont know what happened but our father was questioned the reason why our papers kept twice on coming back to us. The last time we received a letter from the embassy was last 2012. Im pretty sure that Iwas under 22yrs old the time our application was filed.

I asked my cousin who worked on approved hospital(st lukes Philippines) if I can take xray with double lead apron and consent from ob. My question is should I go with this procedure? My due will be on september17. Or should I wait until the baby is born. Im under my mothers application in alberta and we should submit our medical on june as per letter from Cic. Please help.

Don't think wearing a lead vest for x-ray will do any good. It will interfere with the x-ray lungs imaging. So it is best to wait until the baby is born before taking on any x-ray tests.
