Hi Everyone,

Need some advise and help with Family Sponsorship PR 2019

I am in Canada on a PR and now I am eligible for my Canadian citizenship. I need advise to sponsor my Parents and I have a younger brother who is 13 yrs so I dont know how can I sponsor him.

Please help me with the details like process to apply, how long it take, any exceptions etc

I have the same question. When they announced the changes, they said they will provide further details in Fall. But as per previous years they usually update information in December.

I think so, but how, at internet age it is all about key a few word in computer, and I doubt CIC website can sustain the volume of input simultaneously.

was much faster till 2019, 6mon - 2years to compare before 2011 / 6years/
but now CIC announced quote in 20000 applications, lets see

You need to file your tax return every year if you are a tax resident. It's too late to just starting to file it after you make it to the 20k max. You won't be able to provide NOA.
Actually, I do not fully understand your question. How do you know that you meet the income requirement if you didn't file your tax the last 3 years? The income used is on line 150 of your NOA.

Filling taxes isn't a requirement. It's if you believe CRA owes you or you owe CRA. So if you're making a specific income in your job and haven't filed taxes, is it okay ?
Secondly, if your income can support your parent and your spouse parent which I assume would be 2X the Minimum, can you process both ?

The answer to your first question is no. Tax return statements are required documents for parent / grandparent sponsorship. You need to file your taxes if you wish to qualify as a sponsor.

Yes - if you have sufficient income to cover all of these individuals, you can process both applications. When you calculate LICO, make sure you include yourself, your spouse, your kids (if you have any) and the four parents in the calculation to determine the minimum income.

I understand they give you 6-8 weeks once your file has been accepted to submit the complete application but I am curious onto what is required to be submitted initially.
