Can My husband sponsor me now?...while he is still living here in the US with me?

It depends...

Is your husband Canadian?

Are you non-Canadian?

Do you want to obtain PR in Canada?

Will your husband, if Canadian, and if you are wanting to obtain PR in Canada, be moving back to Canada in order for you to obtain your PR?

yes he is canadian, and yes my daughter and I will be seeking permeant residency,.

Yes, you can apply for PR outland while the Canadian citizen (not PR) is not in Canada. Although the Canadian citizen must show evidence that they are planning on moving back to Canada with the sponsored people once PR is achieved.

But we want to apply outland, while he lives here. But he just wants to start the app here, does he have to stay here till its finished?...or can he move on ahead...since he is applying for work. he has lived here for the last 7 years with me, but we are wanting to move back as soon as possible. are the apps different?...which ones do i need. please no links, as i have read through so many and still confused.

what kind of proof?...address?,....job offer?...we are working on that.

I'm sorry if you're confused, but there is a lot of work in pulling together a visa application and you must read through a lot of document and instructions and document checklists to make sure you've done it all correct.

If you are not willing to do this, it might be best that you contact an immigration consultant who will do this for you, as it is a lot of work and you need to read through the application instructions first of all in order to work out what needs doing.

Best thing to do is to read through the very first thread posted on this board as it provides a lot of good basic information - here is the link http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/spousal-sponsorship-t46995.0.html .

Then you need to go to the CIC website and read through all the documents and instructions including document checklists - here is the link http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/sponsor/spouse.asp

Once you have gone away and done all of that, you will still probably have more questions, which we will have happy to help with if we can. But really you need to have some idea first.

On a basic level once you apply, your husband doesn't have to stay with you in US, he can move ahead to Canada.

The instructions/document checklist will help you with the evidence you need to provide.

Click on the second link on the CIC website, click through 'How to Apply', then read and download all the documents.
