Sponsor change of address

Hello all!

I'm a PR here in Canada, applying for my wife's outland spousal sponsorship. I'm moving to a new address in March and I'll be notifying IRCC of my address change after I complete my move-in. I'll be giving them my Rental Agreement as proof of address. However, I have one question: I've preemptively listed my wife as a legal occupant (not a tenant) in the lease and I've verbally notified my landlord that she will not be moving in until later in the year. Is that going to be a problem if her name is listed as an occupant on the lease? Can I explain to IRCC that I've preemptively added her as an occupant in anticipation that she will hopefully be joining me later in the year?

How did you notify IRCC about sponsor change address? I am trying to update my husband address, he is the aponsor.

You can submit a webform with the new address as well as any proof of address (rental agreement, phone bills, bank statements, etc.).

I updated my address as a Principal Applicant, I need to change my sponsor address. Do I need to write a document?

Shouldn’t be an issue. If you are really worried include a note indicating why they are listed as occupant although still living outside Canada.
