You can reach them anyway. Just enter a bogus number when you get to the prompts (hit F for family class and then 00000000) and it'll tell you it can't find anything and ask if you want to speak to an agent

That was my first instinct lol...trust me, I already tried that multiple times but they never redirected me...since im overseas right now i have been using this number +16139444000 to contact them, after the long automated message and options, they essentially tell me goodbye. I don't know if the 1888 number is any different.

Is it telling you there are no agents available to take your call, or is it just hanging up? It's common to get the message that all agents are busy and please call back later, then it hangs up on you - typically it's best to call first thing in the morning so you can get somebody. But, again, that's the in-Canada number so I'm not sure about the other one

Yeah it's the former. I've been calling them since 9am this morning and they've been saying that the agents are all experiencing high volume of calls. I also told my friend to call with the Canadian number of CIC and we could do a conference call.. once the call was connected, all the automated options were exactly the same as when I called with that other number.

Really just stuck in the dark out here. It's been 9 days since we sent them an e-mail. I'm really hoping that they get back to us at least through email because it's really difficult not having any idea what is going on... and it's not like we have anything to work with. No application number and we are both overseas. Hoping for the best...thanks to you all for helping

what email ID , did you write them to ?
Also, another way to check if your application is in the system is to check the ecas, I guess (Only if you remember you client ID).
