Hi! I have a COPR and my wife was a non- accompanying spouse.

She still wants to come along for my initial settlement so we have applied for a Visitor visa.

If the visitor visa is approved; can we apply for SOWP?

Kindly advise

No, she doesn't qualify for a SOWP under these circumstances.

No. She is non accompanying. She is not immigrating with you. You can sponsor her once you are PR. Getting TRV will be difficult as she needs to show ties to return, funds and travel history. Given spouse is PR then chances are low.

Better apply outland spousal sponsorship which is faster than inland. Or if visitor visa is approved apply inland spousal sponsorship and once AOR is received can apply open work permit.
