Thanks for your reply. Can VO reject my file for less score? What is the main rule of VO at that stage? Thanks again.

@ Kochi, I know its frustrating to be stagnant at one stage of the process. What doesn't help is the discrepancy among VOs when it comes to timelines. I would say it not unusual to still have RBVO since April considering those before u having the same status. You could drop an email to ur VO using the CIC contact a CHC link on thier website. I wish u the very best....Mandie

Normally at this stage, VO makes their own doc screening to ensure everything is in place and genuine. In most cases, if they are not satisfied with something, say work experience, they will request for it again. VO can reject application if there is misrepresentation or security threat issues. I believe making it past the CIO is the biggest victory. What to beat is the ability to have MAXIMUM patience throughout the process cos every stage has a queue....if you still uneasy, send VO a case specific enquiry. At least u will trigger some reponse even if it's a standard one...good luck.Mandie

Thanks for your quick reply. Under new rules CIO is calculating points if less they sent to NER with mentioned where is gap but before VO was doing this tasks one of my friend got rejection letter from VO, he was pre June applicant. That was there mistake he has completed three years Bachelor then two years masters degree that means full time study years 17 with masters. They should count as per their rules 25 but they counted 22 from education. Now is better than previous rule, still VO review. What is your opinion if Masters with 17 years CIO will give 25 point. Thanks again for mental support to me.

Dear Mandie
I remember u said that your master degree were evaluated by CASW.
I have A QUESTION?
did u send a certification or document which show your ability in speaking English?!!
I found CASW's Link:
http://www.casw-acts.ca/
it displays everything should be sent to them... but there is no anything about your ability in English language!!!
it is so weird to me. Based on this link, everybody can be able to evaluate their degree!!!!

No, I did not show any certification about English proficiency. My degree was taught in English and I believe once your degree is taught in English, there is no need to prove anything. Of course everyone can have their social work degree evaluated that is why there is section for 'Assessment of International Social Work Degrees'. If you want to have your degree evaluated, send all the docs required and you will receive ur assessment within a month or so....Mandie

The important thing is ensuring you can provide proof that you performed the duties of a social worker (see link below) for at least one year (full time). Once you have established that, you need to have a minimum of 67 points to be eligible. Not having a social work degree does not matter (as Nashe's experience as shown). One important thing: IELTS, mandatory. Start off by familiarizing yourself with the guide:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf
Good luck! Mandie

Thanks dear, at least I've got the credential evaluation out of the way, hoping for a faster processing. I think once your docs are translated it should be fine and u can at least have the credential evaluation. Otherwise u might have difficulty if you still want to practice social work in Canada

Mandie thanks for the reply.

Does the embassy verify the experience proof I submit???
Yes, VO does their back ground checks so ensure it has the contact details of the personing signing it....Mandie

First all, explore the CIC website:

And then read the guide:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/pdf/kits/guides/EG7.pdf

Application forms
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/skilled.asp
Once, you've read the information here, you will become more familiar with the process....Mandie
