Sitting around waiting for ITA

Who else is just sitting around waiting for an ITA?

Do you think it's better to apply for LMIA or PNP or just wait until they lower their minimum score to 400+ points?

I'm at 438 points now, and my work permit is expiring next year..

Me (sad). My employer agreed to do LMIA for me but that would take some time. Meanwhile, I have a EE profile waiting and if req'd point drops low enough, I can pull the plug on LMIA and SINP anytime.

IMO, It's best to have a EE profile active waiting for ITA, and at the same time prepare for PNP or LMIA.

me too, but I am wondering how can I convince my employer to give me a big raise to meet the median wage of $26 so they can help me apply for LMIA..

Even PNP, I need to meet the median wage for my position, right?!

I think Ont. PNP Student stream requires only minimum wage of the particular NOC and region. in SINP (Sask) it all requires median wage. I would assume it's median unless explicitly stated.

I'm waiting for my ECA report. It's due in April/May 2015. Till that, I'm just watching draws take place without me being able to submit my EE profile. But not only waiting. I'm gathering my experience certificates, having them re-made in format acceptable to CIC. Scanning them, making their digital copies ready. I'v filled in some forms. Checking up on fields of forms that I don't understand yet.

I'm watching hundreds of jobs on websites, but not applying right now, since I think if I get a response, I'll need to submit my educational docs in shape of ECA report. Which, I don't have handy.

I'm looking at PNP. But only barely, yet. I'v looked at Ontario's PNP, BC PNP, little bit on SASKATCHEWAN's PNP. They say Albert's PNP doesn't give points on EE app. They are working on the old system (i.e., taking more time to process apps). The ones I'v seen require a job offer. I haven't gotten one, just yet.

How is the job market in SASKATCHEWAN ? How is it for IT guys ?

=> Should I apply for jobs before my ECA report comes in ?

=> Should I submit my EE profile without filling in the ECA report number ? As in, will it be "fruitful" ?

Things in Sask has slowed down big time because of oil price crash. (Although i heard it's worse in Alberta (?)) Not sure for IT specifically, but definitely in any oil-related industry and companies

45% - going home for good,
35% - will get an ita later in 2015 after leaving Canada and going home,
5% - will get an ITA before my WP expires and will apply for bridging WP
15% - my boss will arrange a lmia for me and it'll be positive

Which one do you think will come true?

Jeee, I can't believe I'm going home in a couple of months, my boss will be so upset I wonder what's ahead? This is a very strange situation, I'm in right now, complete uncertainty about the future. I won't think about that now!

Are you sure about the median wage in SK? I am in Regina and on PGWP and working for the company as Industrial engineer. I have seen the wage rate of Industrial Engineer and they are paying me minimum wage of that NOC. So am I not eligible for PNP? I thinking to apply for SINP in coming july.

I'm sorry to hear that! My work permit expires next year so I still have some time, but it still stresses the hell out of me. I can't imagine how it's like for you. If your boss will be deeply affected if you leave the country, then he/she should apply for your LMIA asap. I don't even know how to talk to my HR to give me a big raise and help me get an LMIA hahahah since I am new to the company also. damn

That seems to be required while obtaining SINP Job approval letter, (Sorry I can't find the exact excerpt) which is required in SINP applications.

ok...I haven't applied for the SINP job approval letter but I don't think so they need atleast median wage rate as compulsory because majority of the companies here are not paying median wage rate.

Same here EE profile active. But no ITA.
CEC file came back as I applied in Dec and overall cap reached.
LMIA applied in Nov and still waiting.
