I guess you should apply under 9213, just check if job duties for NOC 9213 matches with your profession, if yes Just apply.

Yes I'm sure most of the job duties match but the only problem is that my current job title is Production Manager (Packaging) which will be clear to the immigration officer that it belongs under NOC 0911. So I wonder if they will reject because 9213 is Supervisor position. What are your thoughts? And what's your NOC, by the way?

See, I'm a production manager (in food & beverages) by profession and have qualification in Industrial Engineering. So I can apply to either 0911 or 2141, both of which aren't on the list. Maybe I can also apply to NOC 9213 (Supervisors, Food Beverage and Associated Products Processing). I'm not very sure because the noc description of 9213 says it is not for managers, it is for supervisors.

Employment requirements 9213

Completion of secondary school is usually required.
Post-secondary education in microbiology or chemistry may be required for some positions in this group.
Several years of experience in the food, beverage or tobacco processing industry are required.
Hazard analysis critical control point (HACCP) co-ordinators require HACCP certification and several years of experience in quality assurance of food production.

if they don't need Post-secondary education in microbiology or chemistry and you can provide them by appropriate job letter so you can apply.

I did it for my self . Hope it will be approved

Okay tell me this, guys... Does your job title have to match with the example job titles in the NOC desc or it is enough if the job duties match?

yes job title and job duty should be matched. but you can provide document related to job title if possible (instead of manager you can mention supervisor).

I calculated my points just now. It is coming to only 59. :( How come they don't give points for spouse's degree or IELTS score?? So weird. So I guess I'm not eligible with 59 points.

I think you can try for Novascotia as a industrial engineer and you can get more score for your spouse education and IELTS How ever its late but you can try, if you like.

Well In my case, My job title is Senior Software Engineer(NOC 2173), but 90% of my job duties match NOC 2171, So I applied under NOC 2171 only.

Since my company does not have Title hierarchy related to 2171, they give regular job title to everyone no matter what kind of job duties you will perform. So what will happen in this case, how SINP will handle this kind of cases?

P.S. I just found below note on CIC website, so I guess I should be fine.

Note:
Matching your job description with the duties is more important than matching a job title. For example, if your job title is Bookkeeper but your job description does not match the one under Accounting technicians and bookkeepers, explore the jobs listed in the Classified elsewhere group at the bottom of the page.

Please note that they are not referring to the express entry stream, that note is for the International Skilled Worker - Occupations In-Demand Sub-Category. SINP has 3 streams in their International Skilled Worker Category. So you can still apply if to the express entry stream if you're eligible.
