Guys, SINP - OID is open now for 1200 applicants.

I have all my documents ready and uploaded for the SINP EE but no opening yet.

However, how can i apply for the SINP OID since my occupation is in demand.

Same here..have kept my profile ready for EE but not opening. Saw OID is opened. Not sure what to do now.whether to create a new profile again for OID and submit or wait for EE to open. Please suggest guys.what are the time lines for OID..?

Hi,

There are 1200 applications opening. So plenty of time.

You need separate application for OID where you must not enter express entry number in first screen.

I think OID officers are crazy now due to Christmas to finish up faster even better than Express Entry. So, better to apply if you want to take a chance.

Hi Pkotla,

You can create a new account and prepare your file under OID. Once EE opens in future, you can apply for that too from different profile (may be you already have one prepared; then you can use it).

But you need to withdraw OID after you successfully applied for EE in future. If not then case officer would ask you to select one and withdraw other then that time too you can decide and proceed.

Having OID in hand is a safe side and may help you.

FYI, I did the same and in 22 days, I got my OID nomination. So now I am not even looking for EE.

Officially you are correct but just check with other members with recent stats and you would be amazed that Oct 24, 2016 intake candidates received their nominations (OID) less than a month compared to July and Oct EE intake applicants.

So, you never know.

By the way, I am one of them where I got my nomination within 22 days. I applied on Oct 24, 2016 and received my nomination on Nov 15, 2016.

Total time for OID, from Application submission SINP to get PR is Approx. 20 months. Maximum
For EE, this time is about 8 months. Max.

HI DiNaV,

You should try in OID if your EE has no hope. OID is also good and if your EE is taking more than normal time to get nomination (I see some of candidates not hearing from SINP - EE since 4+ months) then it is worth trying to be on safe side.

Their post-nomination approx processing time is 16 months. They have clearly mentioned that the time shown is based on application processed recently. It could be different.

For example in my case they could have taken 6 months to process the OID but they did in 22 days. So, we never know what is going to happen with processing.

And after all, there is no harm applying in both and once any one of them is started getting near to result, withdraw one of them. That's the best gamble.
