Hi Dinav,

Total how many yrs of work experience do you have?

I have just heard from a contact that work experience is calculated as 32 hours a week for 52 weeks = 1664 hours makes 1 year, is this true?

no, this is typical. Mention simply it as 8 hours per day and 5-6 working days in a week.

Now the fear is more :(
Didn't see any good news in November those who applied in July who are waiting for the decision.

Yes, I will but in the last of the November.
Hope so I get answer from them before that and it's positive.
Now I hope for the best and prepare for the worst.

But the point is that if I go by hours then I can claim points for 4 years work exp. But if they consider my work exp in years only then I have only 3 years and 10 months(From 1st Feb 2013 - till date) and cant claim 4 years. Therefore I fall short of min 60 points in SINP and they have rejected my application.

Dear friends,

I just woke up to very bad news :(. My SINP application got rejected and status is now "Ineligible Application"

Requirements not met:
Principal Applicant ‐
You did not score the minimum 60 points on the SINP point assessment grid. You have not received
as many points as you claimed for work experience. From SINP assessment, the duties of your work
experience closely match the description of NOC 2174 Computer programmers and interactive
media developers, which is not in demand in Saskatchewan.

What should I do now?

Hi DiNaV,

Sorry to hear that.

According to me, you should either get your experience and reference letters with job duties matching to one of the In Demand codes and reply once they are open again.

Or else you can wait for your code to come in demand.

Best of luck.

Hi,

Need help,

My current NOC is 2171 which is there in the demand list of SINP. I have total of 5 yrs of experience but with different NOCs and other two NOCs not there in the demand list. But my present NOC 2171 with 1.6 yrs of experience is there. So the question is can i claim full 5 yrs of work experience points or 1.6 yrs.

Please advice.

Hi HRG,

The experience they require has to be based on NOC. So, if you have only 1.6 years of experience for in demand code then you will get 1 year worth of points. They do not consider 1.6 years. You can have 2 years or 1 year points only.

To get full 5 years of points, you need to show your experience and reference letters matching to NOC code they have in demand with 5 years worth of experience.

I hope this helps.

Hi,

I am new to this forum.I am very much interested in migrating to Canada.I am 29 years old(Unmarried) and i have completed Engineering graduation in Computer science.I have more than 5 years of experience as a software engineer. As per the CRS score i have calculated, evenif i score CLB9 in IELTS,I can't touch the score required to get an ITA(As per the trend where the minimum score is 453) in express entry .Now i have changed my mind to go through PNP.Please advice me on the following.

1) Am i eligible to get through PNP (I heard that SINP and Quebec are easier to get) with a score of 429 ?
2) I believe as per my current role,my NOC code will be 2171.
3) Is the SINP intake opens every month ?Also what i understood is we need to wait for the provinces to open and apply as soon as possible. Is it on first come first serve basis ?
4)Also please advice me whether i need to apply through OID or Express entry ?

Please guide me.

Thanks in advance,

Pankaj

My NOC is in demand with SINP. The problem is that I am falling short of points to bag for my NOC 2171. I am currently bagging only 3 years work experience in contrast to my claim of 5 years in the application. So, as per 3 years I get only 6 points and hence I do not cross the threshold of 60. However, I have written to SINP to send me a bifurcation of my points as per them. Lets see what reply I get. Then I will get a clear picture.

CAN YOU CHECK THESE AND LET ME KNOW IF THEY ARE MATCHING TO MY NOC OR SHOULD I ADD/REMOVE SOME POINTS? Are these correct? It seems like they didnt consider my Job 1 responsibilities matching to NOC 2171. So now that I have to reapply in next intake, I want to make sure that I put in correct responsibilites that would match the NOC 2171.

Thanks.

I think you are right. Due to your 1st experience some points 4 points are deducted. How many points you had in SINP Points Grind

So can I now update/change the duties of my Job 1 when I reapply? Or will they match it with my previous application and think I am frauding them? Which actually I am not. My duties was of an Analyst but somehow my points and theirs just dont match! So how do I make them believe that my Job1 exp is of NOC 2171 only?!

I had claimed total 5 years of exp based on Job1 and Job2 so had 10 points. And it dropped down to 6. (plz note:- I have just put a mail today to SINP to give me a clear bifurcation of my points. Hope they reply soon).

Hi DiNaV,

Okay, so you are short of extra points due to less experience shown.

Could you please confirm the following:

- Did they reject your application or something else?
- Did they answer to your query you asked about bifurcation?

I think based on what they thought while rejecting it, you can find a way to reapply or find an alternate.

Thanks,
Parth
