This is not true for Canada and the United States, please do not mislead the people. It is legal to travel with any amount of cash or other monetary instruments. However, you must declare your cash to customs/ border services if the amount exceeds $10,000 or its foreign equivalent.

Hearties congratulations dude .... So when are you planning to fly?

No source of income or bank statement needed.

While completing your landing, if they ask you about settlement fund you need to tell them the amount you carrying and declare in the landing card if you carry more than 10k in CAD. That's all.

Legally you are not allowed to carry more than 7k in USD from your country. In this case just carry 7k (max. 5k in cash & 2k in traveller cheque) which is around 10k in CAD. That will suffice. :)

Congratulations. I want to know about visa information. What is the last date/deadline of landing in Canada?

You must land in Canada before the expiry date, which appears on your Canada Immigration Visa. Usually, the expiry date is one year from the time medical examinations were completed. As this is not always the case, be sure to verify the expiry date as soon as you receive your Canada Immigration Visa.

In Process - is this the first and only step till DM?
Is Jan applicants under old system whereas their IP was just few weeks ago.
