This is not true for Canada and the United States, please do not mislead the people. It is legal to travel with any amount of cash or other monetary instruments. However, you must declare your cash to customs/ border services if the amount exceeds $10,000 or its foreign equivalent.FSWCIO said:That's the general forex currency limit ( hard cash ) one can carry with them when traveling. Hearties congratulations dude .... So when are you planning to fly?SP_BD said:Today I received Passport with visa and COPR. ;D
FSWCIO said:No source of income or bank statement needed.
While completing your landing, if they ask you about settlement fund you need to tell them the amount you carrying and declare in the landing card if you carry more than 10k in CAD. That's all.
Legally you are not allowed to carry more than 7k in USD from your country. In this case just carry 7k (max. 5k in cash & 2k in traveller cheque) which is around 10k in CAD. That will suffice.
it is said about the limit of my country as I ask about. So I did not think it is a wrong information. FSWCIO is very helpful and has guided us always.FSWCIO said:That's the general forex currency limit ( hard cash ) one can carry with them when traveling. I think most country has a limit.

+1 for FSWCIO.
Congratulations. I want to know about visa information. What is the last date/deadline of landing in Canada?SP_BD said:Today I received Passport with visa and COPR. ;D
You must land in Canada before the expiry date, which appears on your Canada Immigration Visa. Usually, the expiry date is one year from the time medical examinations were completed. As this is not always the case, be sure to verify the expiry date as soon as you receive your Canada Immigration Visa.sinp2015NoJob said:Congratulations. I want to know about visa information.
