how to apply SINP express entry ??
Keep checking their website http://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/maximum-number-of-sinp-applications to know when it reopens. It may reopen anytime but for now you can read about it here - http://www.saskatchewan.ca/residents/moving-to-saskatchewan/immigrating-to-saskatchewan/saskatchewan-immigrant-nominee-program/applicants-international-skilled-workers/international-skilled-worker-saskatchewan-express-entry.

Also, I would advise you create a profile - https://immigration.saskatchewan.ca/apex/f?p=305:101 if you qualify with 60/100 points. Hope this helps.

How's everyone doing? I thought I drop by to briefly share my experience.

I was an SINP-OID 2015 applicant. My wife and I landed in Regina, 26th of April this year via Vancouver. Landing was very smooth, no hiccups at all. It took us about half an hour to 45 mins only to complete the landing. From Immigration -> CBSA -> Customs. I was really worried at the time because we only had two and a half hrs layover to get to our next flight (Vancouver - Regina). I wouldn't suggest you doing the same specially if you have kids but we knew the consequences and we had a back up plan in case it won't go as planned so we took the risk.

We don't know anyone in Regina so we booked a temporary accommodation thru Airbnb (cheaper than booking a hotel) and moved in to a new apartment after 7 days. Finding an apartment is pretty easy. The next day we went to Regina Newcomer Center, then to Service Canada to get our SIN. We went to the bank afterwards to book an appointment and in the afternoon we had our first Canadian bank account set up and activated. The bank provided us with a credit card facility, we need this to build up our credit history. I applied for our health cards online and got them 3-4 weeks later.

Five days ago (just a little over 2 months) I received my PR card. My wife's card should be on its way. Overall, our whole experience was a breeze. We didn't expect to get a job in 2 weeks. I'm working as an IT support and my wife as an admin assistant. We could't be more thankful to God for we didn't have to go through hardships (like doing odd jobs or taking 2 jobs at a time) to make ends meet like some other immigrants had to go through. Needles to say, "your mileage may vary" and in hindsight, things could have gone worst so be prepared. In Canada it's important to get a Family doctor so as soon as we got our health cards we met up with our family doctor and we had our first medical check up for free.

To those who are still waiting, be patient. I know exactly how you're feeling right now but there's nothing you can do about that.

To those who have landed in SK, please come back to this forum/thread and share your experiences as well - good or bad.

Godspeed!
My congratulations BloodKnight. It's hard to imagine better story than yours. I'd like to ask why you have chosen OID instead of EE? I applied last month under OID but think that when EE will be opened I should apply under EE and withdraw my OID. OID takes much more time and for me now the time is important so I want to get nomination or to be rejected (the worst situation) as soon as possible. You applied under OID because you didn't hurry or you had some other reasons?

Hi,

Back in January 2015, SINP did not have EE sub-category in place.

Hi sookie85. So has EE appeared in late 2015? I thought these two programs had been existing for a long time....

Hi Experts,

I received AOR email from New Delhi visa office on 20 Feb 2016 for my SINP application (23rd Sep 2015). I have not heard from them since then. Any idea when to expect a medical/PCC request for further processing?

Friends please clarify;

1. EE applicant when gets AOR? as i am seeing people getting AOR after 02 months or so, are these applicants are non EE (paper based applications)?

2. If EE applicant gets AOR immediately right after on line submission of documents and then after few days of AOR (say) his age turns into next year and he losses one point and hence fails to meet the FSWP criteria, what will be the scenario? i.e. whether he has to improve his points again to meet FSWP criteria or no worry as he was meeting criteria when got AOR?

Thanks

Yes there is requirement for nominated provincial applicants to live in the particular province of nomination.

Hi,

I am currently working in the USA and have applied for SINP couple of months ago. It is still being adjudicated and am yet to get a nomination.

Now, my employer is relocating me to Canada and to a different Province XX next month on a Work Permit.

What is the impact to my PNP? Do I need to inform SINP about my move to Province XX on a Work Permit? If I inform, would there be a chance of rejection based on close tie with other province? Or is it absolutely normal to apply for SINP while residing in another Province?

Appreciate your suggestion and guidance.
