N1x_r, I'm also from Philippines but I'm working in Brunei. FYI..I got my NBI through the Philippine Embassy here in Brunei. I had to go to a Police HQ here for fingerprint then send the form with my fingerprints to the Phil Embassy for authentication, sent the form to my sister in Manila. She presented the form to NBI and she got my NBI the next day.

I've applied to this too busy visa post last April'11. No AOR yet. I am looking at the forum for last couple of days. Actually, the posted comments in this forum make me so tensed and frustrated. I'm now trying to keep this out my mind. But as you all know, this is not possible. Trying to acquire patience as a virtue.

This visa office is not only busy but it is also a heart breaker office. Many ppl got bad news or delayed years and years without any explaination, just simply said in the queue and need to wait! If u are from phillipines, u can apply to manila with much faster processing time and higher chance of approval, similarly for india. I regret did not take the advice of other earlier applicants

Hi, Letina, thanks for ur kind reply. Unfortunatly, as a Bangladeshi I don't have ny alternative. I got the aor 2 day at last. Issued on 20th may. Can anyone give me an idea about add. Docs? In wht stage of processing they send that request? In the meantime my passport has been changed. Can dhl deliver the post in a post box, as the address mentioned is a post box?

Hi Garu! I will be doing the same for NBI clearance. I got the forms last weekend from the embassy but unfortunately, the official in charge of finger printing was entertaining a visiting philippine official :/ Then this weekend, this person will not be available as the embassy will be busy with the June 12 independence day celebrations so I will only be able to do the finger printing the following week :/ I really hope the NBI clearance doesn't take a lot of time. I only have until July 30 to submit to the visa office. Right to Permanent Residence fee is already paid. Medicals are done. Only the police certificates are needed and it's back to the waiting game.

Hi Letina, I think you are right. Manila office is now faster but now I have no choice. I have to deal with the Singapore visa office.

It would be much easier if u still have a copy of your old NBI like my wife. All u have to do is to make an authorization letter for someone in the Phils to do it for you, u don't have to go via embassy.

Yes, I am actually working in Singapore. As Singapore Police Force no longer issue Police Certificates to foreigners (I'm from Manila, Philippines), my alternative is to make a Statutory Declaration at a qualified legal practitioner or from the Commissioner of Oaths. I am still looking into this to make sure I get everything correctly. On top of this, I still need to obtain a police cert from my home country. Getting all these certificates is quite troublesome but I hope to be able to do it as soon as possible.

Hi Vansack, when did you submitted your application to Singapore VO and when did you receive the AOR letter? is it on July 2010? You should have received MR I think, did you contact Singapore VO about this yet?

We were told that queue for initial screen is 12 months and asked to wait.

Which province norminated you?

According to what I found out, there is a quota for each province for each year.
Alberta got 5000
Saskatchewan 4000
British columbia 3500


I wonder if this quota system has something to do with processing delay at those offices overseas.

Have you read this post (http://www.canadavisa.com/canada-immigration-discussion-board/need-help-nb-pnp-program-process-issuein-china-t73768.0.html) saying that visa issuing for NBPNP is suspended due to internal audit issue? I just hope it is not effective in Singapore.

hi CRS, what do you mean by additional documents? If you submit insufficient documents to VO then you application will be returned before a file number is issued. If they need to know more about you then they will invite you for an interview and request additional documents to be present at the interview date

OMG Garu!!! you are right, I called right away to my agent to check and they confirm the same, only thing is that not only NB but all PNP! :-\
