Hi Letina,

Congratulations! Thank you for your update.

I wonder if I should email them again or wait for a couple of weeks. Because I emailed to enquire about the status of my application in Feb, 2011.

Are they starting to process April and June groups?

What would you recommend?

Vansack, I think you will get Med request very soon, yes they have processed for both my April and June friend (btw, the April and June are the time they received AOR not the time they submitted). If you are in Singapore, I suggest you come down personally

Hi guys,

Here's my timeline:
Applied for Nova Scotia PNP: March 2010
Nomination Certificate Issued: June 2010

Sent PR application to Singapore CIC: October 2010
Application Received by Singapore CIC on 22 Oct 2010

Funny thing here: on the ecas system, it indicated that they received the Medical results, even though I've never submitted any (they haven't even requested for them yet)! So I inquired via their inquiry system on ecas. After a few days, they nicely replied that it was displaying the info in error, and that our application will be in the hands of a visa officer around June or July this year.

Here's hoping they really do start reviewing it by then.

Hi n1x_r,

Welcome to the forum. Please keep us updated.

According to your info, a visa officer should be reviewing our application soon.
Let's hope and pray.

Letina,

Thanks for your info and advice but I'm not in Singapore.

Garu,

Did you get your AOR yet?

Vansask, I'm still waiting here....

n1x_r, how long after submission did you receive AOR?

Hi Garu,

Sorry I forgot to mention it here. I mailed the application 20 Oct 2010 and got the AOR on 18 Dec 2010

I think it is taking 2 to 4 months now for AOR and about 12-18 months more for Medical Request, then 3-4 months for PPR and 1-2 months for visa issuing, provided everything is smooth like silk. Total will be around 19 to 28 months from the time application reach CIC to the time visa is returned

Do you mean that posted processing time on CIC website is not up to date? On the website they say it takes 11 months for the whole process.

28 months is way too long while they are talking about 11 months on the website.

Hi Vansack, the time they published is AVERAGE of 80% cases, as I know there are cases from the same agent company that I used that took only 4 to 5 months depends on nationality. So for examples, cases from Singapore citizens who do not need any vetting will take only 3 to 5 months which scaled down the average time a lot. Hope it helps

Just to update you guys, we got AOR today. It was issued 3 months exactly after submission. Waiting for MR now.

Congrats! Now we're all on the same boat waiting for MR...

Thanks... good things come to those who wait! :)

Congrats Garu! Hopefully, we all get our MR's soon.

Anybody knows how long after med request till visa issued? My friend enquire his status while waiting for medical request and have this disappointing email :(

Dear ,

Applications are processed in the order of their receipts in our office. However, since there is a need to balance the number of new immigrants and the economic and social situation of Canada, we have to ensure that we meet but do not exceed the over all immigration target for each year. We are currently receiving more applicants than the target for 2011 and unfortunately, we are unable to continue processing your case. We do not know when processing of your application can be resumed. We seek your patience in this matter. If you wish to withdraw your application, please let us know in writting.
