Ok, thanks CRS.CRS said:They just mention the city and province in current home address. So, if city is unchanged then no need to inform them.

I don't live in Canada. I left nearly a long time ago (december 2009).
Hi, don't mind me asking. how u did your application and under which category?Canada082012 said:I have recently done my medical and submitted my passport about 2 weeks ago. I originally applied to immigrate to Canada by myself. I and my girlfriend intend to get married before I land in Canada, will this create any issues?
There are a couple of scenarios I'm thinking at the moment:
- Get married before I land in Canada (complete marriage certificate)
- Just have a wedding ceremony without signing any marriage paper
- Land in Canada and come back to my country and sign the paper after 6 months
I really want to get married (first option) before I leave for Canada but I'm afraid this will create complications, could you guys advise if this can create problems.
Thanks
Hi there. As far as I know, that may complicate your application if you get married before leaving for Canada. It will cost another delay, if you wish to pursue it, but you have to declare that. For one thing, it says on the passport request that you should inform the embassy of new status like marriage, birth of a child, death, divorce, etc. If you don't inform them and later on would petition your soon to be wife, then the date would post as a problem. If you get married and sign the papers later on as you state, would that be legal and binding? I've read in one forum that this person got delayed because of getting married. Perhaps you guys can get married in Canada, with her coming as tourist when you're working there, then the processing would be less complicated.Canada082012 said:My application is under the Family stream of SINP. I got medical and passport requests after 17 months.
Can anyone give me some advises regarding my questions above?
Not yet. Going through the last round of unbearable waiting game! Also postponing my wedding since February for landing purpose. Who knew, they would take 18 months instead of 11 months? Otherwise, my prospective spouse would accompany me! Anyway, has they started ur processing?taivoi said:@ CRS: visa is received yet bro?
