Hey ImABule, wow I'm really shocked by this interview letter you got. When I read your PM, I literally almost fell out of my chair at work. Really sorry about this news. And that sucks your GMCS notes thing didn't go through.

Hopefully you can order those notes soon and get to the bottom of why they want an interview. Really shocked considering how well put your application was. At least the "good news", as I mentioned to others, is you likely won't have to wait 2 years for the interview.
Dear Mikeymyke i just received interview letter this morning 9 am and you know at 6 am my family return to Canada
after 2 weeks visit , here in thailand , we had allot of Fun specially with my Baby daughter , this was my family 2nd visit
in last 6 month , i was thinking to send my family visit proof to CIC but now my interview is already schedule on 29 Sep next month

thnx, when i found out im in interview list i was disappointed too, but kinda mentally prepared as most bangladeshis r going under interview process, and i heard they do easy questions. but if red flags they questions further. mostly they ask about spouse and his profession and how met?
Hey Jupiter,

Did your interview letter say they returned your relationship proofs?

Did you get them back yet?

to see imabule & jupiter , i thing more pleasent life in canada r waiting for them. be positive & take everything easily. after lot of reading my opinion visa office can check for anything they feel confused,

* ready all of ur document one after another through timeline & write down it on a papersheet.
* highlight or point all importent matter thats happened in ur environment.
* u both disscuss on it & ask each other as many time possible. it create a confidence that r really work on interview.
* visa officer didn,t like smart people so focus on what he/she ask u. in reply u tell whats needed means in a short brief. actually they trying their best to find somthing odd to neglect u.

Hey everyone, it's been a while since I posted so I wanted to give everyone a little update on my case. Seems like SVO is having a field day with handing out those interviews eh?

My husband got a letter from CIC in mid- June stating we were on an interview queue, which obviously sucks but what to do right? Anyway, since I was going to be seeing him in July, i sent SVO a long email stating how much it sucks and if there was any way an interview could be scheduled while I was in the country so I could attend as well and to my surprise I actually got a reply from SVO stating that unfortunately interviews are on a first-come-first-served basis and that won't be possible. However, they told me to forward all pictures from my trip, our church wedding and honeymoon to their office. I didn't even think I'd get a reply from them so that was a nice bonus. After coming back at the end of July, I compiled all the pics we took and sent it to them, my husband did the same. Since then there's been no reply from SVO(it's been about a month) and I don't think a reply is forthcoming.

Anyway, was FINALLY able to link the application to the MyCIC account this morning. not only did they use input my husbands FULL name as his LAST name, they also used CITY/TOWN (from GCMS notes) as CITY OF BIRTH for application info. following the exact info on the GCMS notes helped, and I also left out passport info and used Application and UCI numbers. After linking the application, his eligibility is still in progress but under interview, weirdly enough it says 'Not needed at this time' . According to the help section that means 'we are reviewing your application and do not need to interview you at this time. Note that we may decide that an interview is required at a later time' . It could just be that it hasn't been updated I guess.

I hope that info helps a few of you. To those getting their approvals, congratulations! To those of us at the mercy of the interview scheduling folks in sunny(albeit hazy) Singapore, I'm right there with ya.. Will update with any new info i receive.

Hi, thanks for the update on your link problem, I wonder if that is why I can't link my wifes application.....some screw up like that. The last email I got from them shows my DOB as hers  It sure sounds like they are completely incompetent there....

I'm not happy hearing about all these people getting interview letters.....we can't wait around here in Thailand for 2 years for an interview, have already plans in the works to move to Canada May of next year, I hope I was not being too optomistic to think this process would be done in a years time.

Good luck everyone ;)

If this is who I think it is. I just want to say your husband has been very helpful to many people on this forum. He has told me many good things about you too!! Nice talking to you for the first time.

If my assumption is incorrect, I will feel like an ass. But who cares.
Yes this is who you think it is I'm glad he has been helpful. Nice talking to you too! I hope we all can catch up some time. It'll be great. And good luck for our applications!
