ENC, a few pages back I posted about your question twice. Once by my own account, and again for another user. I received DM in ECAS but didn't get PPR until a few days later. Just wait, you'll get it soon.

Hi ENC,

Could you share your timeline with us? When did you get in process?

Thank you.

Hello everyone

***** Need Help *****

have some questions regarding an application. My wife is from Bangladesh and i applied for her PR in march 2015. On June 10th she received a letter that she is on interview list. After that i applied for her visit visa 2 times and both time was rejected. I visited her on July 2015 for 2 months. I received GCMS notes and visa officer had some doubt about our marriage. I sent the Visa officer an email clarifying the doubts and also all the expenses and our honeymoon documents in the email. SVO received her file on May 25th 2015 and ever since then her status on ECAS was APPLICATION RECEIVED. Suddenly after 1 week later sending the email to Visa officer the status changed from APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS. Is that a good sign? Is that mean her interview is waived? I read in different forums that the status never changes to in process till you give the interview. I also read that in process means the application is in final stage and close to passport submission request. Please let me know if anyone knows anything about it. Thanks in Advance

Application submission March 1st 2015
AOR received May 10th 2015
File Transfered to SVO May 25th 2015
Interview Letter received June 10th 2015
Application changed "APPLICATION RECEIVED to IN PROCESS" October 11th 2015 ( 1 week after sending email to visa officer with clarification)

Congrats Hoa, you and I share a very similar time line. I'm going to VN to see my wife next week, her name is also Hoa :)

Did you give a very detailed explanation? What's the reason you couldn't get your family to come over there for the wedding? It would have to be an extremely good reason, such as your parents are old/sick, or you are estranged from them and no longer contact them. Believe it or not, I feel it's easier to have a Canadian/PR bring his/her family to another country for the wedding, rather than bringing the applicant's family over to Canada. The reason is that Canadian residents are able to travel easily to most countries without visa, also they're more financially capable of buying plane tickets to visit. The applicant's family, generally might not be able to afford the plane tickets themselves, also they will likely be refused a visitor visa since they're all going together.

Don't use a lawyer, they won't be able to help you very much in this case. Best to spend the $ on visiting your wife.

Hello, thanks for your reply. So she just received the letter in mail along with some photos evidence that we submitted. They did not send back the police certificate, and viber messages screen shot and skype bills. On application status said 4.medical results have been received. 5. we sent you letter on...
I am still waiting for GCMS notes, then I can see what makes to them to put my wife on interview list. Do you think it is okay I send more clarification letter and documents responding to what's on the GCMS notes? Like by email or letter?
Thanks.
Note: I bought an air ticket to go visit her.
