Hey Shah0076, My wife got the passport request via regular mail. No emails. Looks like you are about to get the passport request soon. Good luck!

I got passport request through regular mail, not email.

This is good, when you get In Process and Passport request, it's a good sign, it's likely you will get your visa soon. Hang in there

Hey guys,

Anyone here got In Process over the last one month or so? I contacted local MP office and after inquiry they told me initial review has not been conducted yet which is consistent with GCMS notes I received last month. I applied in February and was wondering if any of you have any idea on their order of processing at SVO?

Hi Tdot123

You must get PPR by 2 weeks. Now-a-days SVO mistypers address over letter (especially in Bangladesh cases), so you did not get it. When you/MP contacted SVO, they gave evasive answers, not perfect answers.

I suggest you should check you local post office for the mail and if do not find it there then send an email to SVO by the PR Applicant asking them straight that "Did they send any PPR or not, as you did not receive any mail from them?"

Wish you luck

SVO will generally send PPR by mail as they have to send all pictures etc with that.

You must get PPR by 2 weeks. Now-a-days SVO mistypers address over letter (especially in Bangladesh cases), so you may not get it.

I suggest you should check you local post office for the mail after 2 weeks.

Hi Shaw,

The thing is ECAS still shows 'application received' since my wife's file was transferred to SVO from Mississauga in March. Do you still think SVO might have sent PPR even though ecas says application received. I am a little worried how come they haven't even opened our file yet in SVO while everyone else at least got their files moving.

Hello advisers: my frind's date of birth on marraige certificate and nikahnama differs from her passport. They never noticed that mistake/error and submitted the application. Now cic sent an email asking for an explanation. What to do in this case? How to correct this error or procedure to amned this error ?

Initial review should be completed long ago if you compare with other cases. You can send email to them to know the status and that will call their attention, if is left unattended.

It is their policy to retun all the pictures and documents you sent with your Appliction and those can not be returned by email.

SVO will return those to the PR Applicant's mailing address as shown at ecas.

Hi Shaw

That's what I thought. My GCMS notes were collected as of August 25 where it only says eligibility not started. Note section only has notes from Mississauga that are all positive. I sent an email to SVO case specific inquiry on Sept 3 but no reply yet. And MP office told me two weeks ago the initial assessment has not been performed yet. It's a bit strange that they haven't touched it even after I emailed. Maybe they are giving evasive answers to MP and actually began initial processing, at least I hope so. What's your thought? Should I send another email?

Another question guys!

Do you know if ordering GCMS notes multiple times is discouraging? Does that annoy the visa office?
