Hi samkh: am NOT sure. I assume from other people's experience it might take from 2 to 6 months altogether to get it done. Again, I am saying it is just assumption. It might take 2 months for you but 4 months for me or 6 months for other person. Because every single case is different from each other. Regarding immigration process, I am NOT optimistic that much. If anything happens quicker than my guess, it would be BONUS and exceptional. We can just keep crossing our fingers, and hope for the best. Rest will come when it is time. I just believe it. Thanks for your question though.

i wish every thing go well for all of us .

My wife sent an application for TRV about 2 weeks ago. Now she got the e-mail 2 days ago about doing the re-medical for her Immigration application.

It would take another 2 to 3 weeks to get a result on that and get the Passport back from Singapore. So, she can not go do her re-medical anyway untill she gets her Passport back.

Now, we are confused whether to call Singapore VO and withdraw the TRV application or wait.

I think you can do the medical by showing any official document like driving licence or national ID card. You better ask a doctor from the CIC list of Panel Physicians. just try to get it done as soon as possible.

Hi goodman36: I think your wife can do Re-medical showing her National ID Card (Voter ID Card), if you read the email carefully, they mentioned the option. It is okay as long as panel physician accept it. You can figure this out by calling one of the or all of the panel physicians' office. Right ?

My Ecase status changed to in Process.

Hi samkh: I just checked my wife's ECAS after reading your post. I found the same as you did like "In Process". It said - We started processing your application on July 4, 2013. My wife completed her re-medical on July 06. Lets see what happens.....and how it happens. Thank you very much for your update. Please keep updated.

Hi SingaporeVo and Samkh,

My wife's ecas shows the same as your's. So, it seems all three of our case showing in process at the same time.

So, are you sure that there is NO INTERVIEW?

My wife has not gone for her re-medical yet. Probably she will do it this week. Thank you for both (and Davidsuchet) of your suggestion of using her national id.

Let us keep posted please.

Here is some explanations;

1.No body knows what is going on in visa office so nothing is impossible.
2. When they change the e-case to "in process" it means the officer has been satisfied by your evidences, that you are a family member of sponsor person( could be husband and wife or adopted child), therefore you can join your family, this is what we call genuine relationship. Interview for this step maybe required. The decision has not been made yet.
next steps:
3.1: Check your background from RCMP(Royal Canadian Mounted Police) If the records show any derogatory, they will call you for interview, This is what we call criminality check.
4.2:Check your background from CSIS (Canadian Security Intelligence Service) If the records show any derogatory, they will call you for interview. This is what we call security check.
5: If your medical exam is still valid and you passed all the steps then they will send you a PPR letter meanwhile they change your e case to "decision made".

Explanation 1 : Sometimes e case jumps from nothing to complete :D . or does not work.
Explanation 2: Background checks take 1.5 to 3 for some cases up to 6 months.
Explanation 3: Since a lot of applicants have not been in Canada, RCMP and CSIS do not have any records from them so in my opinion this two steps are pointless.
