@ dangerJones, or anyone...

I was just approved as sponsor on Dec. 14th, 2011. My wife is Vietnamese. How long did it take for your spouse to receive AOR from Singapore from the date of sponsorship approval? By mail or email? If it was communicated by email, can you share the email address and how it appeared in your mailbox so we can add it to our address book.

Thanks

Hope all of you get good news from Singapore soon.

Singapore VO does not send AOR letter. i do not know what you will see when they send e-mail. I am waiting since 6 months no e-mail from them yet. If you send e-mail to them you may see your file no on subject line.

Hey guys,

Finally got an update from Singapore. This should hopefully give a lot of you in the interview que something to look forward to/more hope.

Today me and my wife received an email from Singapore telling us of our interview date :) To our relief this is happening to us only 2 months after receiving the first interview letter. The interview is set to take place a month from now (mid January)

We have already begun preparing all the necessary documents they require as well as more updated proof to go along with the proof we had already submitted earlier.

We are living in Thailand by the way so the que could be different in other countries covered by Singapore but this hopefully serves as a good reference/indication for you guys.

By the time of the interview it will have been a little over 7 months from the time Singapore first received our application.

Hopefully everything goes well and we are able to go back to Canada in the near future.

Hi Wiggie, when did you receive the letter informing you that an interview is required?

As for ECAS no it never changed. It still says "application received"

Thanks CF. I waited 10 months for interview letter tho still hoping she will be here before next Christmas. Already planning on going there a 3rd time in April(Cambodias New Year). The wife has all the proofs of my visits, and Western Union reciepts and I will send the telephone records to her before the interview(and when I visit). Would be much happier if I could spend this time and money on getting our new home, her education, a baby, and a new 'mini-van'.lol

Actually, I will try to visit for the interview date as well. I have heard they can be pretty rough with the questions and she can be very shy so I would like to be there with her.

For our Anniversary, sent her some $ for a computer and satellite internet connection. Soon to be skyping everyday instead of the telephone.=)

I have thought about this being there for the interview but I am not sure you can be there during the interview. Maybe you can be in the waiting room. Have spouses been at the immigration interview with the applicant?

No news from Singapore for me >:( :(
:(
i am on 6th month running singapore received my wife file. On Aug they replied ,file is on queue for review by officer. They replied all my e-mail. Last week i send mail to know if they send any letter or anything to my wife but no reply from them. On ecas never show real update i am little worry for post mail if not arrive properly. I did not ask for any file status. I know if you ask they do not reply that matter. I send some additional proof as last 4 months call logs, some pictures, video chat screes shot and sms send logs. They received those last week. Since now no e-mail reply,no ecas change, no letter or email from them. It is buzzing me in my head all the time and i feel more worry and kind of depression. I do not get why they did not reply my simple email . Waiting is become so so long.
