Do not worry to much about the interview letter. It is a letter to discourage you. The wait for the second letter is the longest 6 to 8 months. Longer than the first letter but once you get the second letter it goes relatively quickly. I am not sure if your wife has interview first or that they request new medical first. I would assume medical first. The interview will be about 14 to 16 months after reception of application in Singapore. If you received request for interview 6-7 months after application received. It will be another 7-8 months before things start happening again. When Singapore does restart it is quicker. What is important during this period is to keep all the proof of communication and moneys sent in support of your spouse. There is not much you can do during this period other than wait because it is the test of time. MOC marriages will have difficulty to show proof during this wait. Singapore knows this. So do the right thing and keep all proof.

Thanks CF. I waited 10 months for interview letter tho still hoping she will be here before next Christmas. Already planning on going there a 3rd time in April(Cambodias New Year). The wife has all the proofs of my visits, and Western Union reciepts and I will send the telephone records to her before the interview(and when I visit). Would be much happier if I could spend this time and money on getting our new home, her education, a baby, and a new 'mini-van'.lol

Actually, I will try to visit for the interview date as well. I have heard they can be pretty rough with the questions and she can be very shy so I would like to be there with her.

For our Anniversary, sent her some $ for a computer and satellite internet connection. Soon to be skyping everyday instead of the telephone.=)

I would like to know if anyone's wife/husband on the interview list, if their police clearance and medical is expired? or soon to be expired? at that time what should we do? do it once it expires OR do it when they ask? i was just wondering........

1 or 2 months before we received our interview letter I went to get information about our case from our MP. They told us our medical was going to expire soon and not to get another until told to do so by Singpore VO.

The medical only lasts 1 year but I thought the police clearance lasts 3 years. (?)

i dont know about the police clearance either but i think it might be one year also as in canada i dont know..I made my husband do 2 medical cuz the first one didnt come to me in 3weeks so i asked him to do a second one and i received from my husband in a week and the first one he sent i received few days later. I taught it was lost or something.. maybe that might be an issue if the visa office in singapore received 2 with his identity:S?!

thanks my friends. with our application we submitted a 4-page story of our relation signed by both of us to make things clear and we attached relationship proofs in both parts(sponsors part and my part)-- i think these things really helped us. and ofcourse by the grace of almighty god. i pray and hope that all the genuine couples would go through this complicated process very easily. thanks again.

Good news bro and you are lucky. I am still far behind. They ask you to remedical and PC again. Are they ask you send those medical report and pc to the Singapore or send alone with passport in Dhaka? PC again maybe they just finish check your UK background and will look for BD background now. But asking for medical is really odd. Do not worry at least some thing is going on. In my think you may not hear/visa stamp would take 8 weeks. It could be i am not sure.

My additional document still not arrive to Singapore VO . Canada post is slow. It took 12 days to just arrive Singapore Post. I send a e-mail to them yesterday they did not reply. I ask them to know if they send any letter to my wife . I think maybe they are on progress or same old result. Just waiting what could change my additional document method.
I checked with CIC yesterday , when they do an update it could take upto 15 days properly update on ecas.

More days are going i am nervous now. And my sister ecas did not change nothing.
Only think is left i just :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( :'( no other choice.

@ dangerJones, or anyone...

I was just approved as sponsor on Dec. 14th, 2011. My wife is Vietnamese. How long did it take for your spouse to receive AOR from Singapore from the date of sponsorship approval? By mail or email? If it was communicated by email, can you share the email address and how it appeared in your mailbox so we can add it to our address book.
