Most countries are not written as 24 months. Indonesia is listed at 15 months.jupiter16 said:most cases are written like this like 24 or 36 months to be processes but applicants dont hav to wait that much. threre should be a ideal procesing time for spouses specially i think. taking a year to be a processed is cruel. if applicants have no other issues processing should b faster. last yr i saw from bangladesh many applicants processed within 3-6 months. thts why i was thinking its gonna tak us this yr more faster. if visa offices could do tht in last yr they are also capable of doing this year tht fast.
I have been waiting for last 12 months almost. Hasan9999 waited 3 years+. The moment sponsor drop off the application package at Canada post or courier outlet we are chain to waiting game. I personally know a cab driver here in my town in Halifax, NS waited patiently for 7 years before he could see his wife and son. Therefor enjoy the deshi food and hospitality as much as you can before board the big bird.jupiter16 said:most cases are written like this like 24 or 36 months to be processes but applicants dont hav to wait that much. threre should be a ideal procesing time for spouses specially i think. taking a year to be a processed is cruel. if applicants have no other issues processing should b faster. last yr i saw from bangladesh many applicants processed within 3-6 months. thts why i was thinking its gonna tak us this yr more faster. if visa offices could do tht in last yr they are also capable of doing this year tht fast.
I count roughly 10 1/2 months by your timeline, and the remedical request surely added to the wait.hungryman said:I have been waiting for last 12 months almost. Hasan9999 waited 3 years+. Not really. SVO opens the file and if they do not need any other documents or explanation file goes for marriage verification, criminality, security checks. In my case I missed some documents and proofs and few explanations. Therefor my file went back to the queue for 5 months. After sending those documents and eligibility passed, medical has been expired. I think they request her re medical and start the background checks at the same time. And we get the passport request 3 weeks after the re medical. I paid all of my fees at the time of application to avoid delays. ;DImABule said:I count roughly 10 1/2 months by your timeline, and the remedical request surely added to the wait.
The average time is 6-9 months and I suspect it would have been about 8-9 months had they not had to request a new medical exam. Also, I don't know if you paid RPRF upfront or not, but that would also cause a delay if you didn't.
Interview cases are a whole other ballgame concerning wait times.
But as I said already, yes it's still too long.
So there you go, your file wasn't complete and they had to request documents- hence the longer wait time.hungryman said:Not really. I had to send a lot of pictures, Nikha nama, boarding pass (plane ticket)... Pictures with date, location, what occasion and who is in the picture. We send close to 85 extra pictures with detail explanations.ImABule said:So there you go, your file wasn't complete and they had to request documents- hence the longer wait time.
Did they request more relationship proofs?
That's interesting if they did.. Normally SVO would just send an interview letter.
What docs were you missing?
So you basically sent in the application with no proof of relationship and instead of sending an interview letter they asked for proof?hungryman said:I had to send a lot of pictures, Nikha nama, boarding pass (plane ticket)... You are not correct at all. They are hungry for more evidence of existing relationship and more of our wedding pictures. Initially I only send 12 picture. Later she send close to 85 photos. I also send money gram bills, plane ticket with boarding pass..ImABule said:So you basically sent in the application with no proof of relationship and instead of sending an interview letter they asked for proof?
12 pics is hardly proof of relationship... I sent with my application everything they requested from you, plus a boatload more.hungryman said:You are not correct at all. I hope you aren't offended, as I'm truly just curious about how you sent so little and managed to avoid an interview.hungryman said:May be my documents just need a touch up compare to whole paint job.
I'm truly perplexed as to why SVO would send PPR just to return the passport with an interview letter.mikeymyke said:Do you know 100% for sure your interview is waived? Only way to know that is either you get Decision Made, or your GCMS notes say so.
I wouldn't rely on the fact that you got PPR as a sign that it is waived because there are quite a bit of people who get an interview letter despite PPR. They just simply get their passports back with an interview letter and no visa.
Also I agree with ImAbule, I'm quite surprised you only sent in 12 pics on your app, especially given how difficult Singapore VO is and how important a spouse sponsorship application is, one would presumably want to send in the best app they could possibly make.
My wife and I sent 400+ pics, 350 of them were not the exact same, they were done on different days or same days but different events. The other 50 was just on the wedding day alone. It might sound like overkill, but given Singapore's reputation as a difficult VO, we didn't want to take our chances.
Hope you really do have the interview waived, however.
