Agreed with you!!! They are just taking their own sweet times!!! I was just wondering how they would access our application during the first initial review. Can someone share some lights?

I am not sure if I have understood your question right. From the notes I see that they did the initial assessment of our file back in November. It said file ready for final officer review. I have no clue what's happening after that.

I sent my passport through VFS on 28th May. Till now there is no update.

Any update on ur passport retune coz still I received no mail from Singapore passport office that they get my passport it's 1week already bit worried ...plz let me know about ur update

Today my wife received back her passport stamped with Visa and Copr.
Passport submission at Vfs/IOM hcmc Vietnam on May 9. Almost 7 weeks.

I don't think they inform applicants when they received the passport. At least that was my experience. I knew that my passport has been arrived safely in Singapore by checking the tracking number provided by Fedex. Do your courier/ VFS provided any?

I know @ the airport they mention 6 to 8 weeks..buts thats wrong

Finally! I received my passport and COPR today ;D
Here is my timeline:

Nov 20th, 2012: Documents sent to Mississauga. As proof of relationship I attached 70 pages of skype logs; 15 pictures (I only choose pictures that highlight the stage of our relationship) ; tickets & boarding passes.

Dec 3rd, 2012: I received acknowledgent from Singapore.

May 28th, 2013: I arrived in Canada with multiple entry visa.
Oct 25th, 2013: I applied for visitor extension, granted for 6 months.

Feb 24th, 2014: eCAS status changed to " In Process".
Feb 26th, 2014: I received snail mail contains all proof of relationship, along with request to do remedical, police certificate, IMM5669, and to submit passport after RPRF has been paid.

March 22nd, 2014: sent the requested documents. When I applied for visitor extension, I had to do medical exam and it's good until the end of October 2014 so I don't need to do another one for Singapore. I only sent the copy of e-medical sheet that I previously obtained from the panel physician.

April 28th, 2014: I applied for another visitor extension since I'm not sure when will I get my passport back. 10 days later I got confirmation that my application is approved and I got extension until October 28 2014.

June 6th, 2014: eCAS status change to "Decision Made".
June 26th, 2014: received passport and COPR. The document was issued on May 28th, 2014.

My husband and I decided not to order any GCMS notes because we don't think it's necessary and we never received any news from Singapore if there is something wrong with our documents.
I will return to my home country for 1 month and then return to Canada to complete the landing.

It's been a bittersweet experience, waiting for 20 months for this to happen. Thank you everyone in this forum. The information you all shared have been very useful. For fellow applicants who still waiting, don't give up hope. You will hear from them eventually.

Did you not receive a email or text from VFS saying your passport was delivered to Singapore?
We submitted through VFS Dhaka June 3, and got a text message on June 4 from VFS saying our documents reached Singapore.

IF you submitted through VFS, you can check the tracking number from VFS website.

For me it has been almost 1 month, still no news....

Kindly write down Passport submission date and location (VFS/country).

It will help us track down Singapore timeline.

Rosindo, congrats! we both received our passports at around the same time!! Just in case if everyone is wondering, it took slightly less than 3 months before we receive our passports!


anyway for some weird reason, my GCMS arrived after we received our passports and i saw that my file was transferred to manila. weird.

I submitted my possport at Dhk vsf 22.06.2014 and passport received at singapour vsf in 25.06.2014

Waiting for my passport now hopefully it will arrive before my 2nd marriage anniversity which one is on 1.08.2014 !!!!!!!!!
