Hi All,

I am planning to do a short landing to Canada with my PR visa, recently received it. My plan is to have A jouney of one week only. I am in the phase of booking my flight tickets from India to Canada.

The options that I see are, I have to take a connecting flight at London while returning from Canada to India. My doubt is, when I am returning I would only have an acknowledgement that I am waiting for Canada PR card. I would not be having visa with me. In that case, can I actually travel through London or I must look for some other flight routes.? Please advise. I am in a highly confused and urgent situation.

Thanks in advance.

I think OP has a valid concern

Depending where he / she is from.

I believe you can use your COPR as a proof of canadian visa / resident permit.

EDIT: my post might seem disconnected but there was another post in between mine and op's , was deleted later.

Hi all !

I am all ready to land in canada mid sep. i have a small doubt regarding my wife visa.

I am an Indian citizen and wife is Singaporean.
I received my passport with canada stamp along with COPR, while my wife received only CORP, when i check with VFS they said , singapore passport comes under visa exempted. now i have a question for her visa.
CIC says visa exepted PP need e-TA but they have a note says , untill sep 29, foreign national can enter it wihtout eTA

can you advise what i suppose to do? my flight is on 17 Sep.. do i apply e-TA or not? its only cosy CAD 7 though ..

also they said PR guys cant apply eTA, are we consider Canadian PR before we land ?
