In family class sponsorship spouse has to handover his/her documents according to Appendix A Document Checklist of part 3: country specific instructions (for Pakistan) to the sponsor. And Sponsor is supposed to send the complete document pack according to IMM 5491 checklist. But in this sponsor checklist item 8-12 and then 22 to 27 are the same documents that were already compiled as per spouse’s check list so what should a sponsor do with these items? Does the sponsor take out all the documents from the spouse pack and re-compile the entire pack according to IMM 5491 checklist? Secondly, IMM 5491 does not contain the complete list of item that were shown in the spouse check list Appendix A. So which document sequence is to be followed? Please advise.

The checklist (IMM 5491) lists all the forms that have to be sent in - both by the sponsor and the applicant.

The sequence of the documents is not super important, though it's advisable to order them as the checklist (IMM 5491) lists them. So yes, the sponsor would open up the spouse's pack and put everything together. You can put anything that isn't on the checklist at the bottom of the pile.

As long as everything is there, it will be ok. You will not be refused for having a messy application package, but it's a good idea to organize it as well as you can so that things don't get misplaced and whoever has to deal with your app has an easier time doing so.
