September 2020 - Citizenship Applicants

All the parameters, except Citizenship ceremony (status Not started), in the status tracker are Completed and Status changed to Decision made in ECAS as of Jan 10th. Someone please update the tracker.

Thanks man but its so weird if I click on decision made it only shows 3 updates, last one is that they started processing my application in February.. no updates about making the decision, it only shows "decision made" instead of "in process" in the main screen

Same with me as well. Status changed to Decision made in ECAS, but only 3 lines in the details, no updated after processing started. Probably, IRCC has stopped updating details in ECAS.

Hi All,

September 2020 Applicant here, I am in need of your advise.

I check ECAS and it stated that I have been scheduled for Citizenship Test but it was cancelled because it was scheduled in Error. Test status shows in progress

will I hear back from them? Is anyone in the same situation

Does anyone know what the difference is between Streamlined, Regular and Complex applications? Complex is pretty self explanatory im mostly not sure about what streamlined and regular mean

Most probably more info will appear within day or two...

Most ppl get an update with in 48 hrs but there are some exceptions where the actual update took more than a month. Unfortunately, this ghost update is another thing which spoils your day!

@omarnabsws according to ATIP documents released last year it mentioned streamlined applications as those with low risk. but no one knows what low risk is defined, could be applicants from certain demographics or countries. Complex is non routine, the simplest is a fingerprint, once you are requested you are taken out of the regular lane.

We all know who will benefit by making most applications as complex/non routine.

And the In process ECAS date is Feb 22 2021

Hey everyone,
I was able to submit my Indian passport surrender application last week (Thursday) and they told me it will take 5-6 weeks to get the surrender certificate and ONLY afterwards can I apply for OCI. They told me to make an OCI appointment for 5 weeks later approximately. Now I went on the BLS appointment page and it shows appointments only toward May end. I don't know if the journey to completely live at peace as a migrant individual will ever end. Anyway, anyone who has obtained Canadian passport and are looking to get OCI soon what is your plan of action ? Any pathways to move forward quickly ?

ps: I was trying to apply for a entry visa and even for it they need the surrender certificate.

Updated. I think Sidney is processing all AORs then sending it to local office. Your test invite email should be coming from your office - indicated by three letters eg MIS, SCR, etc. - this is how you know.

When I check my online tracker it shows updated on January 7,2022 but nothing has changed on my tracker and my last update is on August 23,2021 which my test was completed...should I expect to receive any update soon?

Hi all,
My application was received on Sep 2nd, 2020. The only update I have gotten so far is background check completed on October 25, 2021. I am in Ottawa if that changes anything.
Should I be worried about the delay or any way I can follow up?
