Case closed online. How long it takes to receive the certificate?

Depends on your office. Regular (non-expedited) is usually 1-2 weeks for Niagara Falls and Scarborough, although there have been some waiting up to 3 weeks for Scarborough. The slower offices like Montreal and MB SK take 4-6 weeks.

I got this email on Friday and I am extremely worried. Has anyone ever heard about this before?



I have logged in to the portal every day since and it still says they are waiting on me to take the oath. The email was from IRCC.DNCitNGFScheduling02-ConvocationNGFCitRN.IRCC@cic.gc.ca

It reads like it was really a clearical error on their part. The not-so-polite warning of "removal" is probably to make sure people don't join in the hopes of not being noticed.

Based on what you said (that your language/prohibitions etc were still in progress) it's likely someone entered a wrong application # or client id while sending out the invite and they caught it during their last minute review. imo, no need to worry too much but you can always follow up with them.

Hi. I received my certificate yesterday ( 19th Oct) . It was sent out on 17th Oct as per the stamp on the envelope. Hopefully you will be receiving it in the days forward.

Received citizenship certificate today Sept 26th
Was sent from Montreal office on Sept 22nd

I used an android, but make sure it doesn't discharge
Also, your selfies with the ceremony president may not come out too well with a small screen, if you have any interest in taking them.
