The problem with changing address is not because you won't receive mail. That's not the reason why @Nevine.Kassem hasn't changed address. It is because if this results in a file transfer, then that might contribute to additional delays.I cannot slow things down any more than they already are. It makes no difference, changing the address. The IRCC have a specific change your address wizard so it should be a normal flow an application can go through. There is no downside to changing your address. If you provide your email address in your application, all correspondence will go there.
Generally, if you move within the GTA, then a file transfer will likely not occur. However, if you currently live in the GTA and move outside the GTA, then a file transfer is possible. If you currently live outside the GTA or in another province and you change the address AND the new address falls under the jurisdiction of a different IRCC office, then that might result in a file transfer as well.
