Hello @legalfalcon , I need your expert opinion. I am an FSW Inland PR applicant with AOR 23 sept 2020. My pgwp was about to expire because of passport expiration. Since then I have renewed my passport and applied for pgwp extension but it has been a month now and I havent heard anything. I was wondering If I should take other measure such as apply for an open work permit under a public policy https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/coronavirus-covid19/students/pgwp-extend.html
Your opinion would be highly appreciated.

This is the most common requests, usually sent to verify your information, or if the information is too old, to get an updated info.

As per the manual the average processing time is 110 days. However, due to cOVID, all processing times are no longer valid.

Have you send a webform or called IRCC to know the status. If not, then do that before you take any other step. Also, the processing time has gone up for all applications.

Yes i have ordered gcms notes twice. Both time same status : Eligibility passed, criminality in progress and security not started. As for pgwp extension, i was unable to link it to my online account.

Hi all, hoping someone will have a definitive answer to this. I’ve applied under PNP AOR Sep 21st 2020 and have a valid BOWP visa. Once travel restrictions ease can I re enter back into Canada and work after a long overdue trip home? Can’t find a black and white answer to this question

Yes i have ordered gcms notes twice. Both time same status : Eligibility passed, criminality in progress and security not started. As for pgwp extension, i was unable to link it to my online account.

Yes , I did. For pgwp she said its still under progress(didnt give me any timeline) and for PR she said we are checking your background.

Then you will have to wait. Given that your PGWP is under process, you are under maintained status.

All temporary residents have an automatically imposed condition that they must leave Canada at the end of their authorized period of stay. However, as per section R181, a temporary resident may apply to extend their period of authorized stay before it ends. If they have done so, their period of authorized stay as a temporary resident is extended by law until a decision is made [R183(5)]. Such a person is considered to have legal status as a temporary resident during the processing period.

Hey fellow travelers and wise ones like @legalfalcon , I need your advice: I am awaiting a decision on my EE (CEC) application AOR-Sept 2020 (see details in signature below) however I am not confident I will get it because I claimed Arranged Employment but employer did not give properly worded letter. I have a second ITA from another EE profile (different email id) where I have NOT claimed AE and it will expire in 2 weeks. What are the risks of putting in a 2nd application for the same person while the first one is being processed? Will they freeze both applications or cancel the first one or reach out to me (and cause more delay)?

PS: Sorry for creating a second EE and getting a 2nd ITA but my first application was based on company's letter for Arranged Employment (different from simple job experience) and the HR created hell and gave a vaguely worded letter. I waited until April for a decision but none came so I took the unpleasant step of creating a 2nd EE without claiming Arranged Employment and got another ITA solely based on my work experience in Canada. This 2nd ITA has a higher probability since I don't need that darn letter for AE. I am running out of age and there is nothing I can do to increase my points, this is my LAST chance so I am desperate. Plz Plz help
