I m from Mississauga I have the same time lines as mentioned above and don't expect to get any response from IRCC, I contacted the local MP office and he suggested to get in touch after regular processing times.i have written emails to immigration Minster and PM s office highlighting the plight but it didn't change anything. So in short as mentioned in one of the Ctv article after u apply it could be anywhere between 1 to 2 years to complete the whole process.

So bracing myself and waiting for my turn on tests and next steps

How we get the test invite letter, via email or mail? It is been a while now after AOR, just worried whether I missed any notification in early March 2020.

Hello Santosh

Did you get any update ? Mostly they send email notification with a letter for test with location date and time for test.

But before to send the letter on same day they will update your application in online web that they send you some correspondence on this date for test.

If on your online status nothing is updated it means they didnt send anything...

But please sleep tyt for next 1 year atleast because nothing is gonnna update and receive..

Best of luck.

Hello Everyone!

I am looking into my wife's application which has the current timeline:

  1. We received your application for Canadian citizenship (grant of citizenship) on September 3, 2019.
  2. We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on November 25, 2019.
  3. We started processing your application on January 6, 2020.
As you can see, its been stuck "In Process" since January, but what concerns me is that neither have we received any request for Fingerprints, not any Test Date. I noticed a couple of applications in this thread with a similar timeline, who have had their Test Invites and have given their tests as well.

Can someone please help me in understanding if this is an odd scenario or anything to worry about? thank you!

Hi there,

I think there are a lot of people in the same boat as you - my wife included. Her application was received on Sep 15 and they sent an acknowledgement on Nov 19. There is nothing after that - not even the third line as you have.

The process is somewhat random and there is not much we can do about it.

To give you some more perspective, we called up CIC a week ago. The agent confirmed that they have all the documents required and nothing else is required. You may want to call CIC and ensure they have all the documents and you have not missed out on any communication.

Take it easy and just relax.

Cheers

Thanks for your reply, while I cannot say its encouraging to hear about the situation we are all in, it is definitely reassuring :)
All the Best to you for your application!

Called IRCC to make sure they have everything they needed today. They know nothing about the test. When I asked, "Will the test resume after COVID-19 situation gets better". The agent just kept saying don't know.
