OWP approved 14th January - received paper copy 22nd January.
September 28th application
Are there any September applicants who haven’t been approved yet!
Meeeee... Sep 12 still pending approval. Also @Ictyyz from Sep 5 and possibly @Laca from Sep 24. Everyone else got it.

Hey guys, has everyone who got their OWP approved by Jan 16 gotten their physical work permit in the mail? Because I didn't :(
Out of the 46 applicants on the September timeline, 12 applicants got their approvals on Jan 15 and 16. However, only 4 of them reported getting their physical permits in the mail so there is nothing to worry. CIC probably mailed them out on Thursday or Friday.
Yours should be arriving either today or tomorrow.

@skhan1002 I'm wondering if you applied for an extension and if you were granted one? When did you apply and when did you hear back from them?

I applied on 21st Jan through Case specific inquiry form and also to the email address that was on the fingerprint request letter. No response yet, I am thinking it will take at least minimum 5-7 days for response.

Thank you!! Do we know AIP, estimation ?
If you have a job offer for atleast 6 months, full time and 37.5 hours per week, then you can get an employemt letter and go to service canada. It takes 3 months from the date you apply for OHIP. if you dont have a job you need to wait till you get AIP.

I also requested through the case specific enquiry. Now I'm thinking I should email them too?! My father's PCC is further delayed due to the weather in Ontario.

I got my physical copy of work permit extension 2 days ago. Got my sin connected to it. Now going to get extensions for my health card and my kids as well.no rush because still have validity .
I think , i saw on other threads after we pass medical it takes roughly around 5 months for AIP.
We all are sailing the same boat, hope for the best and best of luck for job hunting .Make your profiles on job sites like indeed ( it always worked for me) .Upload your resumes and look for suitable jobs. Try not to stress out , keep calm and patient , we have to wait for just few more months.

Hi! Just wondering, since I have my open work permit now (before being just implied status) can I go home (to the states) and back no problem? Thanks!

I believe it’s ok as long as you have the eTA.
They sent me an eTA with the OWP online. I tried to check my eTA status but it’s not working so I’m not sure about it. Try to check yours too.
If you have the eTA I believe it’s fine if you assume the risks. I’ve never heard of someone having trouble returning to Canada.
Here is the link to check:
