Need help to link my application online, can anyone help
Here is a step-by-step instruction for Inlanders:
  1. Go to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/application/account.html
  2. Scroll down and click on Continue with GCKey
  3. Sign up or Sign in with the Principal Applicants credentials (one who is being sponsored)
  4. Click on Add (link) your application to your account
  5. Select Category: Permanent Residence
  6. Sub Category: Family Class (Spouses)
  7. Select Family Name, Given Name and Date of Birth if you don't have the PA's UCI number or the Application Number
  8. Family Name: Fill in the Principal Applicant's last name
  9. Given Name: PA's first name
  10. DOB: PA's
  11. Select: Passport
  12. Fill in the details (PA's)
  13. Select the current Province and City (not the Point of Entry) of the PA and Marital Status (Married or Common-Law)
  14. Enter the number of family members as 2 if the PA has no dependent; otherwise, add 1 for each dependant regardless if they are accompanying the PA to Canada or not.
Side notes:
  • Inland Principal Applicants can find their 8-digit UCI Number on their Visitor's Visa/Study/Work Permit before receiving the AOR.
  • If the Sponsor is a Permanent Resident or a Naturalized Citizen, the sponsor's can use their own UCI number from their past applications.
  • UCI Number on the AOR is for the Sponsor only while the Application Number (starts with letter F followed by 9 digits) on the AOR is for both the Sponsor and Principal Applicant.

Hello,
When I check the status of my application. It mentions that:
Review of the medical exam. - You do not need a medical exam, we will send you a message if this changes.
Does it mean I do not have to give a medical?
I did not provide any medical reports and the last time I had a medical for CIC was August 2013. I have been staying in Canada since then.

What the message actually saying is that you do not need a medical exam yet until we send you a message. Your medical exam results are valid for 12 months only. So you'll have to do it again when CIC reaches a certain step in your application process and send you an email.

I believe this message is a standard. It shows when you apply for a visa, an OWP, etc.
The same message appears now on my OWP status.
I sent my medical exams for the Permanent Residence application and it shows: "You passed the medical exam."
To sum up, they will ask you for the medical exam in the future, but they don't need it now.
As your last immigration exam was a long time ago, probably it's expired.
So... just wait and see :)

I also struggled linking our application. Tried for a week with many different combinations and still no luck. Although, I finally found another forum and found a combination that ended up working for our application (Inland).

Category: Permanent Residence
Sub-Category: Family Sponsorship (Spouses)

Application Number:
Took the number right from the AOR email
Family Name: Used the PA's family name (all capitals)

Passport: PA's passport information

Other Application Information:
Province, City we intend to live in Canada (aligned with our residential address)

Current Marital Status: Married
Number of Family Members: 2 (PA and Sponsor)

I hope this helps; I was glad to finally get through this after the week of trying and trying!

Best of luck!

tipsy

I guess this is bad news for us, since our app arrived Sept 24th and still no AOR... Is the AOR emailed of mailed by post?
If our package gets sent back to us I guess we will need to move back to Korea since her visa runs out December 13th :(.
Why don't you apply to extend her stay?

Hi! I am not sure if that has happened before because when you apply for the OWP you are also applying for the extension. So there is no need to apply for extending your visa as a tourist.

Unless you have the following situation...
You sent your application package and your visa is about to expire soon. If you are still waiting for AOR, that would be a moment to try a tourist visa extension... (It's what I would have done if I didn't get AOR because if they send back the application, I am not sure what would happen with my status during the transit of the package.)

In my case, I entered Canada in a visitor visa which will expire in December/2018 but since I've applied to the OWP I am not worried about it because I've got the AOR so it means the applicant has implied status after sending the package to them.

Have you applied for OWP? When did you send you application and when does your visitor status expire?

Hello,

Our inland application for PR and OWP was received on September 28 and we haven't got AOR yet. Worried! Anyone with the same timeline here?.. Thank you.

If you do not mind can I ask how come you sent your medical exams along the application?
Is it possible to do an earlier medical exam?

Thanks
