Yes, that's exactly what we brought to the testing site. They only asked for it from one candidate who was not on their master list, as a verification. We never received paper invite, just email. My ECAS status says that i will receive a confirmation letter in mail for my test. Although I got a PDF which has test invite details, should I print that and bring that with me on test date? or does the mail come for sure?
Any insights?
Thanks!
Friends, my question could have been responded earlier, but do you mind commenting again, please?Hello friends,
As I read postings that the communication for FP is via mail and ecas, Does it mean that I need to check ecas regularly for all my family members?
Secondly, my ecas status says "We sent you correspondence acknowledging receipt of your application(s), and a study book called Discover Canada on December 20, 2018". However I have not received it yet. Is this normal?
Congrats juliamsr, just received our test invite!

Did you get the communication over email or on ecas?
Hi.Friends, my question could have been responded earlier, but do you mind commenting again, please?
from my experience, the in-line fields in the ecas are not very reliable. For example, in my case, I have only 3 lines, the last one being that they've started processing my application. However, the status is Decision Made.Email first, checked Ecas about 5min ago and it still hadn't changed.

Thanks manhunter!Hi.
I don't think anyone receives the hardcopy of the book, it is available in different formats at this link:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/corporate/publications-manuals/discover-canada.html
you can get the pdf format, an audio file (my favourite), large print format, html....and you can also order a hardcopy free of charge (mine got to me within 5 business days of ordering 2 copies).
thanks mooer!See the other posts on here recently - you will receive test invite by email but also best to check ecas regularly.
The Discover Canada book is not sent out - you can download it from CIC or request a printed copy. The correspondence they mention is the AOR email.
