Great news! Background to DM depends and is hard to answer. Some on here were over 4 weeks, some were quicker. Fingers crossed for you it doesn't take long!Charl00Char said:Finally my background check has started! How long did it take everyone else to get a DM after their background check?
Yup. Now the next phase of waiting begins.Landagirl said:Great news! Background to DM depends and is hard to answer. Some on here were over 4 weeks, some were quicker. Fingers crossed for you it doesn't take long!
I was just saying to my husband that I wonder if they'll send back the photographs. Not a big deal if they don't, because we specifically had them printed to send with the application anyway. But they're the only thing in there that would have looked like "original" proof. For everything else (receipts, cards, proof of travel) we scanned them into the computer and arranged them in order chronologically. So luckily I don't have anything else to worry about in that regard.Charl00Char said:Hopefully it doesn't take them long. I've only lived with my family, then moved out on my own with my wife. Never had any trouble with the police, and hold down a full time job. I sent them every bit of proof I could think of to prove my relationship is real. Been reading a lot on this website and most of the time it doesn't seem like CIC send back the evidence you submit.
I sent my original cards and plane tickets etc. It would be nice to get them back, but I doubt I could put in a request for that from CIC and it's not that big of a deal if I can't.danawhitaker said:I was just saying to my husband that I wonder if they'll send back the photographs. Are you able to see anything on ECAS?2GETHER4EVER said:Hi everyone! I'm quite a newbie here writing my first post. I'm also one of the September 2016 applicants like you.
I'm always reading updates here until I decided to register an account just now. I am still trying to figure out how to get around.
I was able to link and open our application on myCIC account until AOR2 last November 2, 2016 and it just now keeps saying "Application status is currently unavailable. Please try again later." There was no update since then. I wonder when the service will come back?
Anyhow, I would like to greet everyone who received their PPR's already.
CONGRATULATIONS!
