I take that back my ECAS says decision made as well!

Only I am nervous as shit as we just sent in a notarized statutory declaration to exclude his 3 kids from medical. They received it last Monday, his medical went from review in progress to passed this week as well as background check started.
So my thinking is there is no way they could do all that in less than a week and it be a good decision .

How long until we get a letter or email cause I am going to be a nervous stressed out wreck until I get something stating one way or another.

Congrats! I suspect it's probably good news. Someone from October had a background check that lasted for a fairly short amount, so it doesn't sound unreasonable. They had NEXUS. Now you're all making me nervous because I haven't gotten any document requests yet and background check hasn't started. Though my In Process date is after yours by over a week, so I know in reality I shouldn't be worrying too much and that there's definitely movement and they're catching up on things after the holiday slowdown.

I feel exacly the same way as you... Ottawa VO and SA 24.10. Nothing since they started processing on the 28th of Oct. Just praying for the Backgoround check to go in progress soon. So i guess we are still good, no need to be nervous quite yet

I say don't be nervous quite yet, you never know!!

We have a non-accompanying dependent as well and all that was asked for of us was the birth certificate (I told my husband we were supposed to include it, he didn't listen). Anyway, we sent that in as requested. We also did the medical and declared the child as non-accompanying when we completed the application process and no issues so far.

Is there anything on your end that might make you believe the decision is a negative one?

I emailed a copy on Jan 4th and the mailed copy they received on Jan 9th
On January 12th I noticed his medical changed to pass and background started.
Janauary 15th, for sure, as I checked in the morning no change and last night now states decision made

CIC hasn't changed to back up ECAS yet and all ECAS says is three lines.

I don't know if our letter worked or not. They didn't ask for anymore info so not sure if they just flat out denied us or not. This is worse than waiting for SA. Maybe I will post on the main board to see if anyone else has gone through this

Ohhh I see what you're saying now. I didn't read properly, I thought you wrote that it was a declaration that you would never sponsor them. I didn't realize it was that they didn't do their medicals. Sorry, I don't have any experience with this. But with the declaration did you include a letter as to why they couldn't do their medicals?
