That would be lovely. I really want to be back for the summer and fall. I have been there on numerous times but since we have 2 kids, it can get quite expensive to be going back and forth :( I pray we will all be there by this summer ;D

What's your VO? Do you know approximately how long your VO is taking?

we will be, iwas there in winter, so am really looking forward to landing soon... my VO is pretoria South Africa, some people got their DM in 6 months and others in 9 months. Pretoria thread is very quiet at the moment. so i will use 9 months as my average.

:) I got landed yesterday :) I'm officially a Canadian Permanent Resident now :)
The PR card will be mailed to me in a month - month and a half! now I have my COPR stapled onto my passport :) They told me know I can apply for SIN number and OHIP :) :D I can't believe that this is actually happening :)

Congrads...happy for you. please do keep us updated.

Aaah, fingers crossed that more of us September (and Ottawa...) people will get good news soon!!

My wife is really hopeful, but of course, there are no timeline guarantees. Our situation is really uncomplicated and we paid for everything up front, so we're really hoping that'll help. Good luck to us all, though!

Question: I've changed jobs a couple of times since we submitted her app. (Got laid off from my good job, had an iffy seasonal one, got laid off from that, got a full-time job, then got a better full-time one, which I'm intending to stay at.) Do I need to update the CIC at all?

idont think you need to, maybe find out if it qualifies as change in circumstance. my hubby got another job too. he didnt let CIC know. but now when we added our little one, CIC needed a new employment letter. they probably just wanted to see if he is still employed. But if you see the need to, you can let them know :). but its not like you are on welfare right?

My Vo was taking around 9 months last year so I hope by may I can have answers. Don't know if it was a good sign that they asked me for 4 new pics over a month ago but then they just went quiet :-X on me.

Wishing us all a fast process for sure :)

hi bricksmith what additional documents they requested to you?? In my case I haven't receive any update up to now. the last time i receive an email from Manila office was on dec.01,2015 (AOR2) I'm september 18, applicant

Hi Karla; There are at least three of us that are September applicants waiting on Manila - perhaps more? 8)

The additional doc. request was at the bottom of AOR2 (which we didn't get until Jan.) so looks like you got in ahead of the Christmas break and are ahead of us. They asked for relationship proof and NSO document. My wife thought the NSO doc. was CeNoMar which of course wouldn't apply so we hadn't included it, but there is (as I suspected) an equivalent document from NSO showing she is married to me. :D

As for relationship proof, I had sent our love story document – 32 pages telling the history of our relationship including 20 pages of photos of us together and with family and friends on my trips to the Philippines when we got engaged and married. 150 wedding guests, mostly her family but including even my mother and sister! ;D At first we were baffled on how they could possibly ask for more than that. Only thing that makes sense is that since I sent one copy of our “picture book” with all the paperwork for both of us, it was left behind in Canada with my sponsor paperwork. We redid our love story document, this time with my wife writing from her perspective (which was very interesting for me to read) and included some new photos.

We are hoping and praying that my wife will be able to fly here in April, as our anniversary is in May.

gud morning bricksmith, I was a little bit worried why until now VO Manila doesn't have any update from them since I received my AOR2 on Dec.01, in their email no additional documents was requested, so maybe I can assume that our application is complete, because its been more than 3 mos. now since VO manila process my application.
Hopefully, we could receive our PPR this end of March, as we have same anniversary and I want to celebrate it with my Husband.

Hello everyone! Good news!

My wife got her Decision Made status on the CIC page today! We're really excited! I hope this bodes well for other September applicants, and also other people whose PR is being processed through Ottawa. Now we just need to wait for her CORP. What a relief. She's really excited!

It usually takes a week or two for the COPR to show up in the mail after you receive a DM status, right?

Mine took a week as I'm in Canada, so if your wife is here, she should get in by next Tuesday :) Happy landing :)

She got it today!! I guess the COPR was sent last week and it just happened at some point between last Tuesday and this one, haha.

I'm sending well-wishes to everyone. I know it's hard and frustrating and I really, really hope more of you get good news ASAP.
