Toronto star let me know that our story is on tentative schedule to be published tomorrow front page. Who is running to the news stand tomorrow? This girl!!! I am sure it will be online as well.

I definitely want to read it!!! I'm gonna to run to website since I live in Ottawa

Today ECAS switched to DM !!!.... I wish we knew what the decision was but I can't wait for the mail to get here! lol

Maria, my husband sent me the pics of the article this morning when he was reading the newspaper.
I was like ohhh I totally know who they are talking about.
He was saying how horrible this makes Immigration look.

A meticulous educated US woman who is a teacher married to a Canadian with a well put together 532 page application all tabbed and organized to the max.. You'd think that would have been a slam dunk and an easy peasy process for CIC to have a look through? Not to mention your security threat to Canada is probably less than zero. But then they had to go and lose your stuff, and on and on etc etc.

Great article and well done Maria and Hubby!

Gosh Teach! You probably would have rolled your eyes and given us a C- grade for the application we pieced together compared to you and yours lol..

You are very lucky with all this mess though Maria because if they would have stuck to their guns about the new FBI check they wanted, that alone would probably of had you waiting what till about Sept 2015 just to get the FBI check back? Whew! :-X

The mailman/woman probably has your COPR in their satchel today just awaiting delivery to your mailbox! 8) ;D


Edit: Not to be a buzz kill and as if I really need to tell you this, but with the luck you guys have had with CIC when your COPR arrives check really close to make sure they got all the names, dates, address's, passport #, UCI# etc etc right. If that is all good and not screwed up then it's totally Super Duper Happy Dance Time! 8)

Yes I believe we are blessed they took the FBI copy. I really really wanted them to write about that. Boooo!!... Well I gave them so much info, I guess there is just so much they can put in one article lol

That is Awesome! 8) What is the "valid to" date they gave you? Just asking as Leah and others are worried because their meds are expiring in July too just like ours were.. They gave us 2.5 months to land and others longer I've read, seems like they will extend so that is a good sign..

CIC came back to us asking for proof that my husband reside in Canada. Can someone please confirm the documents we have and let me know any additional I can add to this. so far we have.

Bank Statements

Pay Stubs

We are planning to send our response soon. Also how much approx time CIC would take to make the decision once we have send over the requested document?
