I'm getting so discouraged. I can't think of any reason our application is taking so long. I know calling the call centre will do zip bc we're not over processing times.
I thought our app was pretty straight forward, we even shared a youtube video of our first meeting! Pretty legit evidence, right?

All they've requested is my CSQ and yet I'm still waiting... :(

I know it's hard but don't be discouraged Leah. It's probably a good thing that all they wanted was your CSQ rather than lots of other things, and I'm sure your status will go to DM soon.. We were asked by email what is the country of residence and mailing address of my wife (which they already had), and it said we had 45 days to provide the info etc.. We emailed back right away and 19 days later our status went to DM. Then 8 days after DM (yesterday) COPR showed up in the mail.. I think you are getting close! 8)

It's been about 36 days since they received my CSQ and I've heard nothing else so far. :/

i am so sorry sweetie.. I feel like we both got a raw deal with Ottawa. I also think you will go DM anytime soon!.. Please know I am rooting for your DM everyday. Its about time.

Hello my fellow September peeps. My husband and I decided to go public with our story. We were interviewed by the Toronto Star yesterday and the story should be out Monday or Tuesday of next week. I know its will only be about CPC- Ottawa but if anyone else is interested I will share the link. I brought up a lot of issues that I have seen with the system and I hope that this lights a fire under their bums. Maybe it won't but at least I called them out for making such a huge mistake and losing 533 pages of my application. I also told them I'd like to know how they plan on changing things so that things doesn't continue to happen to others and I brought up the fact that spousal sponsorship is one of the few applications left that cannot be submitted electronically. I mentioned that maybe if they allowed us to submit most of it electronically maybe things would not get lost and the processing times would decrease.

Right?! They lost most of your application and mine is taking unreasonably long for.... what reason? Hahah plus the fact I got SA about a month later than everyone bc of their dumb mistake of filing us inland. Do you think that had an affect on how long it's taking?
I remember someone saying on the forum that they go by application received date but I'm guessing they go by when they got it from Mississauga, correct?

Thanks Maria, and the same to you!

Bravo, Maria. I'm so proud of you!

I would normally say it might have an effect on why its taking so long but who are we kidding. Jan applicants are getting DM. This is ridiculous! It is insulting to everyone else waiting. Seems like we should of just waited and applied in Jan 2015. I am happy for anyone who gets DM because I know its a big deal but I would be lying if I said I wasn't pissed they have screwed us over and they are making a bunch of us wait.

Yeah, exactly. I am really happy as well, for anyone who gets DM.
But every time I see someone get it, I get really frustrated and upset. Not at them, but at CIC. Bc like you said, it makes no sense. Even if their mistake delayed my app a bit... there are still people getting DM who applied 3/4 months after me... -_-

I just saw my signature and realized we are not now on month 9. This is so frustrating. I am so scared to see 1 year and no answer. I don't even know what will happen with my medical. A small part of me is kinda numb. I don't even feel the stress anymore. :(

I just noticed the London VO is at 28 months. I don't remember it being that long before? Is this recent? .. I feel horrible for the London peeps! I am so sorry it is taking so long. CIC really needs to get their Sh*t together.

How are you not on month 9? I'm confused.
Yeah I am really hoping they extended our medicals, especially bc we're in Canada, so there's no risk we're bringing in any diseases.

Damn... poor London folk.♡

Ah I think you meant NOW on month 9? I re-read your sentence a few times...
