I haven't heard anything either I sent mine in 9/5/14. I am not expecting to hear anything until at least 2 more weeks or end of Oct. I am giving them time! lol..

I really don't know about the B4. I am "visiting/moving" next month also but I am only bringing clothes, my laptop and cat because I don't want to be denied entry if they think I am going to stay with out having my PR. I am also a nexus member and if I break any rules I can get my nexus revoked and denied entry so I am being extra careful.

Thanks for the reply. Wow you are bringing your cat? How does that work? Do you have to import him/her or pay a fee or get him/him checked out?

A couple of people in the London Outland topic who submitted the sane day as me have received SA - hoping mine and others arrive next week

You just need to provide proof that the animal is vaccinated. I have brought her up with me for visits before. Usually land at the airport though, they just take me to a back room. An officer takes a quick look at her and the paperwork then I am on my way. When you cross by land it all depends on the officer. Sometimes they ask you to pull over to check out the animal, sometimes they just want to see the papers with their vaccine records. No big deal really. :)

And michminn provided the link so you are all set :)

We flew my wife's cat from Chicago last Oct 2013 and all you need to have is current rabies vaccination and paperwork from vet supporting that.. The cat flew solo in Air Canada's Live Cargo and all went well.

To touch on some other comments here. I would recommend getting medical insurance for your stay here and a return flight before coming through the border to visit. My gf and now wife came here to visit me in Moncton NB in June 2013 with a one way flight and they almost didn't let her through. Thankfully they did and with an extension to her visit she stayed on with me until June 2014. She spent the summer at her moms back in Illinois and flew back here Sept 13 2014 just last month. We were very anxious and worried that they would not let her through so we had a return flight, med insurance, proof of marriage etc etc. They let her through and here we are again back together and waiting out the process as you all are too here in the Sept Outland App thread 8)

We found a very reasonable med insurance provider and should have looked into it before the last time my wife was here. She stayed here with me for one day shy of a year and we had no insurance so luckily nothing happened to require medical help.. This time around we made sure she would be covered and all you need to do is have it set up before you come here for the day you arrive and it's valid for up to one year.. If anyone is interested I could provide the number to the agent here in Moncton and it can all be done over the phone or via email.. We bought the most coverage that you can get with this med insurer and it is $150,000 coverage and cost $390 for 180 days of coverage..

Your wife is a US citizen?

Why were they not going to let her through? I have flown in with out a return flight many times and just explain to them that its cheaper to buy two flights than a round trip (and it really is I usually save myself at least $100).

Yes she is a US citizen :) Just bad timing to get a fussy border agent at the time I guess so dunno? Since that experience we worried about her next time through and thankfully there was no problem.. The border agent called me at home the first time she came to visit and asked me some questions. We do not lie and everything she said was the same I said of course so he let her through.. His concern was money for her stay because she came with a one way ticket and only $20-$30 dollars on her and how she will be supported etc.. I'm very happy he called me to verify everything as he probably could just as easily denied her entry and not gone to the trouble of calling me to check things out 8) Both times now she flew Chicago to Montreal where she goes through customs then flies from there on to Moncton..

That is very nice that they called you. I will suggest that if they have any questions. (call my husband! lol). I have my savings account and I work full time remotely so I am not worried about how they think I will support myself but that is good to know. It seems like it depends on who you get lol

Interesting! I am similar to your wife, Evadyrrehs. I only ever had like $20 or no money with me at all. But I never got grilled or asked how I would support myself during my visit? Also only had a return ticket the first time and since they never asked about it we didn't make the hassle of getting a return ticket every time since we would just cancel it anyways.

I guess she was just unlucky that first time she came here to visit. It was her first time ever to visit Canada and I guess the one way ticket thing and little money on her person raised some red flags? Anyhow it's all in the past and we are together and awaiting all the newer unknowns of what will happen with our application?, as you all are here doing too. Btw our profile name is Sherry Dave backwards lol.. We are Sherry (US wife) and Dave (Canadian husband), and we wish everyone a smooth and quick process with CIC and that everyone can be together and just get on with their lives 8)

Hey,

We were married in New Brunswick on March 09, 2013 and the marriage certificate that we signed at our wedding was our actual marriage certificate. It looks fake and everyone always laughs but it is our actual certificate.

Hello, We were married here in NB also but that form you signed at your wedding is not the official marriage certificate so I hope all will be okay? It says on the bottom of that form you signed : "To obtain an official marriage certificate, application may be made at all Service New Brunswick service center locations throughout the province or online at www.snb.ca."

We sent in for the official marriage certificate to go along with the one we signed at the wedding and it is very different and has a different serial number on it..

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! 8)

Happy Thanksgiving

Hello fellow Canadians and soon to be Canadian PRs. Happy Thanksgiving! Tomorrow is a new business day and I am feeling optimistic that the September people will begin to see SAs! :) ... Fingers and toes crossed!
