Hello September Folks :)

Well not much longer and it will be March already.. Still silence for us as far as CIC goes just like many here too.. We mailed off the documents to extend my wife's stay as a visitor which was received Feb 4. Her six months is up on March 13 and we are sure hoping and praying that the extension for another six months will be granted, as there really is no where for her to go back in the States. I have a week of work to go and then we are supposed to be getting laid off for at least two weeks or maybe a bit more. I'm really looking forward to a bit of time off I must say as I'm feeling very frazzled with work and everything and really need the rest and peace.. That's our story for now :)

Radio Silence here also. I actually went to NYC for 10 days and came back into Ottawa so My 6 months started over? ... Who knows.. lol.. I have nexus, they never question anything. I just assume its automatic 6 months when I hand over my paper at the exit.

They say "Silence is Golden" but it so does not apply to the situation we are all in lol :-\ We are lucky though in that some of us here have been able to be with our spouses while others have to wait it out apart some or mostly.

Good luck to everyone on here and hoping there will be good news for all soon :)

I think you're right Maria that you have the 6 months again. 8)

I agree Evadyrrehs. I feel lucky to be with my husband. We already did 5 years long distance while we both finished University. It was hard enough.

I sometimes do wonder if I should be happy its silent. I guess it means it is all in order and they don't need anything else? We are probably just in line waiting to be up next. I hope that being a USA citizen by birth I just get a COPR in the mail no questions asked. But who knows... sometimes I wonder if silence means they lost our application LOL...

I know ... I know.. Crazy thoughts...

I ordered another set of my case notes last week.. I should get them in March and I will see what they have done with my application.

You are so right. I think those who are able to visit and stay longer with their spouses are quite lucky. I hate the distance so I am planning to visit him again end of March for 12 days.

Just received Sa!!

Hi I'm new here, I just found this site.
I sent my application in September, and CIC recieved IT on Sep 26 2014
I recieved Sponsorship Approval on November 21 2014 (which I just saw it much later then most)
They sent it Outland to Vienna
On February 3 2015 the websit says that our PR application is "in process"
I had not noticed that the status had changed, when I notified the embassy of my husbands (applicant) change of address and residency. They then sent me an email asking for a police record for Panama where my husband is now a resident, a new medical exam as the first one had expired, and RPRF to be paid.
We had 60 days to make sure everything was sent to Vienna. As of Feb 26th everything has arrived in Vienna, except the medical exam, which the doctor has to send.
My questions are
After our status was changed to "in process" for the permanent resident, will it take long to process?
With the second medical exam will it take 3 months before the results are sent to Vienna? ( I read that on another site)
The CIC requesting payment of RPRF does this mean they are close to making a decision?
Has anyone had a similar experience?

Hello,

I just came back from the US to Canada and stopped at the boarder 1000 Island Bridge and spoke with boarder. My visitor visa is out March 31 but my husband leaving for deployment and asked if I need another visa. The lady told me no since i was going back to the states for my job. I had to get work because we can't afford me not too. She told me if i wanted to remain in Canada another 6 months that I should renew it and they could do it at the boarder. She even took my info and tried to check on the status of our application and was given no new info.

Any word on July/ August applicants??..last I checked they weren't moving either

Yes, very much so thank you! :)

Hi!

I have a question. I sponsored my partner in September 2014.
Passed the 1st stage at the end of October 2014.
His file was supposed to be transferred to the Sydney office but was transferred to Ottawa instead.
When we applied the processing time was 9 months. When we check online it's now 15 months (14 months for Sydney)

Does that mean that he won't get any PR till December 2015 now??? Instead of June or so.... :-/

We are really getting annoyed by this situation of living on 1 income. He joined me in Canada thinking the PR would arrive anytime soon...

So are we in the 9 months bracket or the 15 months bracket? It looks like Inland is better than Outland to this point, cause you can at least get a Open Work Permit after the 1st stage which takes 6 months....

Cheers guys

Hello everyone,

I applied to sponsor my spouse (Out Land Sponsorship, Quebec Sponsorship) on December 12, 2014. Base on the time frame for the first step, sponsor eligibility, it should takes 85 calendar days, which would be around March 7th. As I've read on the Quebec website, I have to apply for the undertaking and CSQ at the time I receive an approval letter from CIC stating that I'm eligible to sponsor my spouse and inviting me to submit the package A alongside the CSQ form to the MIDI; however, on February 27th, I received a letter from CIC just asking to apply for the CSQ and undertaking without mentioning anything about approving me as a sponsor. Also, when I check the online status, it cannot find anything regarding my application.

So, is this the approval letter? Is there anyone having the same experience?
( In the QC website it stated that I have to send a copy of the approval letter along with my undertaking application)

I was wondering if anyone could help.

Best regards,
Ramin
