You will apply B1/B2 Visa. Start from here: https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-ca/niv

Book interview appointment and get US Visa photos taken now to avoid delays.

hey sorry for late.

just COPR and Passport. If possible take your latest work permit in case. And one photograph if you still see your old pic on COPR. Not required if they requested you with Ready for VISA email.

Hi all finally landed at 11.50pm on march 31st.. the feeling was unique as I have been waiting for 3 years for this day. Had no issues me and my wife got in and out within 20 minutes after flag polling. The CBSA officer was nice but she did ask for my bank balance and job offer letter. Told her that I was told by CIC that it is not necessary but she said she wanted to see our employment letter..but we showed her our bank accounts and the direct salary deposits on our phone.
So for anyone landing please just take ur paystub etc.
Thank you all for being so supportive in these stressfull times.. so some years down the line we will all look back and laugh about we overcame the stress.

I was wondering if it is a requirement to have bank statement during landing process. If so what is the minimum requirement amount of money needed? Regarding job offer letter did u show the current job offer letter? What if someone is not working??

Hi. You do NOT need a job offer. As for proof of funds, I think it was indicated somewhere in the PR application. ($ 11,086 for a single person, $ 13,801 for two family members??). These numbers could have changed though.

in my case, I'm out of the country now with no job offer but I've a Canadian bank account with the minimum amount of funds needed. What if the officer ask me for a job offer? I'm planning to do my job hunting directly in Canada
