Hey guys. I know all this process is very stressful and we all want to get the aor and the pr as soon as possible. But, can you please stop asking every day if there is any cc charged or any aor received? If somebody has received one of those, that person will say it if it's an active member. If somebody receives it and doesn't say it, it means that this person doesn't access the forum, so even if you ask for it the person won't see your message and won't say anything. Accessing the forum every time I get a notification to just check that it's a person asking the same thing it's kind of depressing.

I hope nobody gets identify by this message and, if so, don't take it too seriously.

And UCI is.... a number....


As far as I can tell he hasn't recieved an AOR, the AOR contains the UCI. When CIC charges the CC that means they opened a file application for you which triggers the AOR. Maybe he has a UCI and I didn't read that detail, if so, my bad.

Again, without a number (UCI or any other) it is useless to call/email them.

From my understanding, if you have ever done an application with CIC in the past, you would already have a UCI number that is unique to you. AOR is a different thing.

Many thanks Zareef and Jalex. I have the UCI# from my old Work-permit, can I use the same in my correspondence with CIC? Do they tag the old Work-permit UCI# with your PR application in any way? Any idea?

Actually you have to use the same number because it's like your id number for cic. You must use the same uci number for all cic applications.

Sorry if this has been covered before, but I noticed that most people have nominated Ottawa as the processing office. I am now realizing I have made an epic fail by putting my country of nationality and should have put Ottawa. Any advice of how I can fix this to avoid delays? I have tried calling CEC with no luck (as I dont have an apn ID to quote). Would sending a letter requesting the correction be the next best option?

Nope CC charged means credit card charged... which in turn means your first level check has been passed... now a VO will analyse your application and make a decision whether you deemed fit to get ur PR after checking all your documents and your work ex
