Do you think s/he don't know how to type on google? :P

Whoohoo, I got approved for the Opportunities Ontario: Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). I will probably ask them to drop the CEC application.

Hey ko_ko_ko
Don't drop your application till one of them gets fully approved. Even I have applied for Ontario PNP and will apply both and withdraw either one whenever the first one gets approved

That's the best thing to do, to apply to both programs at the same time in case there's any problem with one of them. Only problem is that you need to have some extra cash for the fees.

Hello Andy,

I have also applied for Alberta Provincial Nominees and waiting to get PNP certificate. Same time I am eligible for CEC too & am going to apply next month. Just waiting to take CELPIP exam.
Just want to confirm that Is it ok to send CEC application when PNP application is in process @ Alberta ?
What happened after getting CEC file umber If I get approval from Alberta PNP ? Do I have to withdraw CEC or I can still apply my AINP to federal ?
Or I can wait for one of them to get approval and than withdraw other one ?

Yeah, I will apply through both and then drop one off them, probably the CEC. Since my CEC application will most likely be rejected, due to the fact that I asked them to consider my experience on the OCWP.
It really sucks trying to immigrate with only 1 year PGWP :'(

Hi @Raj2014,
There is no rule stating that we cannot apply for permanent residency through 2 different ways, my friend called CIC to confirm.
They said that there is absolutely no problem as long as you withdraw one of the applications once either one of them is approved so that they do not waste time on the other application.

DO NOT WITHDRAW your application just because you got approved from Alberta PNP, withdraw either one of the applications only when one of them is fully approved.

Hope this helps!!!!

@ko_ko_ko, under what category did you apply for your Ontario PNP?
Could you please tell me the timeline of the date you submitted your application and approval date and if date of any additional documents requested.

I applied under Student with Job Offer on August 8, 2014, additional documents requested on Aug 25, 2014.

what's happened with jack, I saw his record modified with cross lines in google doc?

the number changed :

Total applications received towards the overall cap: 3,087 / 8,000

does it mean the sep submitted application have been checked ?
