Hello everybody. Apologies if this has been asked before. Could somebody advise the best way to notify CIC about a change in email address? Thanks.

but at this stage in the game, why not just keep the same one for now, you don't want to miss out on something important..

Thanks BlessedSherry. Its just that my old email address does not seem to be working any more. I did not get the email that was sent out by error earlier this week from CIC. When I tried to email myself, I noticed that all mails sent to my former email address are bouncing back.

I will try calling CIC and see if an agent is kind enough to change it. Fingers crossed.

Oh no! Yes, defiantly call them as soon as possible.
At least the forum can keep you updated with the cic happenings. lol

That's true. I am so glad I stumbled upon this forum. From what I see everybody is so friendly and supportive. It would be great to network and stay in touch after we all receive our PRs.

On the phone now. The agent does not seem to cooperate. He refuses to change my email address over the phone. He sent me a link, but that does not seem to have the information to change email address.

E-mail them here CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca and tell them to change it, usually they get it done in a few days

better to do the same via mycic account or by using the case specific enquiry form .

I tried linking my application via mycic account. However it was unable to find my application. Do you have any tips on how applications can be linked under MyCiC? I am beginning to get a bit antsy now. I sent an email as Ko_ko_ko advised. Thanks guys.

but this means we can't apply for EE as our back up?

I hate to say that I am finding it quite humerous. They're talking about how unfair this is haha

That's the story at least. They are saying it is a "glitch"....I like that they use that word instead of error. Like it's the systems fault and not theirs. Ah well, hopefully they don't change ours to 21 months when they fix theirs.
