Personally, I feel EE is the best way to avoid this delay regarding old CEC, which may increase processing time for SURE. CIC guys are really playing with our life's. Seriously they are jerks.

I lost my patience on this stupid OLD system. They could have at least rejected my application so that there will be an only option left with EE.

Well, obviously that sounds like a great solution and, if I could, I would apply for EE. Unfortunately after being in Canada for 3.5 years working as a skilled worker of group A I only get 305 points because I don't have LMIA or my degree assessed here in Canada. So EE isn't an option for everybody here

Letter of explanation ? do you guys have any format that i can follow. Please share...

the letter that i wrote for my bowp had the following info :

full name, dob, cec app number, uci (8-digit client ID)

explaining that i need to apply for BOWP as my current wp is expiring in 4 months while waiting for a final decision on my PR application. with this letter attach a copy of your current WP and a copy AOR (print out the email)

if you are applying online, you can use a pdf format to combine all these documents.

I had done upfront medicals @Apr-2015 but no confirmation even after 2 mails to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca & also not updated on eCAS 3rd line... any idea what to do

don't worry about the ecas update and email replies (i didn't get them either)

contact the call center and ask if there is medical attached to your file. they might be able to confirm it for you.

I am a sept 2014 cec applicant. My current BOWP is expiring on 30th april 2016. I have applied for my second BOWP last week. I am planning to go back home for vacation on April 2016. If I apply for TRV, will I get visa until April 2016 (my current BOWP expiring month) or they will consider my second BOWP application & issue visa accordingly. Please share your thoughts and advice.

I donot think they will issue visa on current work permit which is expiring very soon.

and if they do, it will have an expiry that matches your current wp, not the new one.

and i would suggest not to leave the country until u get a final decision on your wp extension.

Its better not to leave the country. I am also in the same situation, by May my first BOWP expiring, already applied for another one as the processing time now is 120 days..... then only we can apply for TRV.... TRV's will be issued only on the current live WP's whoch you are submitting online.

Agreed! That's what my friend's lawyer suggested; he is in the same boat.

I did kind of same thing - I got my upfront medicals done in the first week of November 2015, Sent my medicals receipt to CPC-CTD-Ottawa@cic.gc.ca on december 18,2015, they added third line(Medical results have been received.) in ecas on January 08, 2016.

Crossing my fingers that my upfront medicals should not go missing.....It was done @Apr 2015 ....Logically it wont be missed as the upload from Doctor office to CIC is electronic ....

i applied for my BOWP, on the letter of explanatory, i uploaded my letter of employment, AOR, and document checklist, i didn't put a letter explaining that i am applying for BOWP and my work permit will be expiring on march 29 2016, do i have to contact cic to let them know about the letter because i have already paid the fee and submitted my application. i dont want to get denied for BOWP when and my work permit expires
